The owner (I assumed from his behavior) was very impolite (even rude) when answering questions. He did not approach me even after seeing me looking over the exhibits and I am still sorry I asked him a question. Most of the salesmen appear to be staying more outside doing nothing than helping clients. This is a very strange business. It almost seems they are making money from something else.

"The day your car was towed, I explained that the building manager was monitoring the parking lot and since the building is having parking problems with neighboring shopping centers, they are being very strict. It really is not fair to leave this kind of review because you had decided to park in the parking lot and go to the next center. We have been serving the community for the past 23 years and anyone who has dealt with us, will know the actions described in this review is out of character. I truly wish you my best and I'm sorry that your car was towed."

The experience, as described above in the services performed section, was very pleasant. At each visit to Ideal Tile, the service was prompt and very courteous. Mo and Linda were patient with us as we struggled to pick out the appropriate tile. They provided assistance in choosing the proper tile and in designing the best layout for it. The tile delivery time in each case was reasonable and prompt and the tile price in each case seemed very reasonable. We were especially grateful that we were able to trade one backplash tile for another without a problem.

We would have no hesitation about making future purchases from Ideal Tile.

My bathroom is fairly small (6' x 7'). Other establishments urged me to use very large tiles (because that is what they had and it is easier to install fewer, larger pieces). Mo and Linda worked with me to select tile that is easy to clean and appropriately scaled to the room without being overly detailed.

Mo manages the tile installation. He explained each detail of the work and the timetable necessary to complete the work. He anticipated the information that plumbers and carpenters would need to prep the work for tile. He anticipated that it would take 5 work days, we scheduled the work 3 weeks in advance. The work took exactly five days and the bathroom was paint ready when they finished.

They will be remodeling my other small ugly bathroom soon.

I wandered in to the Rockville showroom in March to browse and selected a floor and wall tile that I thought I might like. They were busy and basically I was told to come back with measurements. I went back to the showroom with all my measurements in June. There was one other customer in the showroom. The salesman totally ignored my presence for over an hour. I finally interrupted to ask when I might get some assistance. I indicated some tile I liked and tried to show the measurements of my bathroom. I was told I needed to set up an in home measurement and estimation. I called to do so, and my call was not returned, I called one more time to try to set up an in home estimate and was told that there would be a $50 charge just for the estimate. I was already less than thrilled with the lack of customer service, so have decided to not bother will the estimate from them. I will go with another service provider.

Ideal Tile as a company is OK, but I had a terrible experience with the installer who came out. He was very mean, rude and very unprofessional. This was the most terrible experience I ever had with a company. If my husband would've been home at the time he would have probably threw this man out and my husband is not a violent person.
