My wife and I had House Doctors of McLean perform a fairly substantial restoration of our 20’ x 6’ portico and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results. Our project required both structural repairs to the aged and dated Victorian-style vertical supports; as well as functional upgrades to the ceiling/eaves. Given we live in an end-unit row home, we also worked with their foreman, Hector, to design a custom semi-privacy screen between us and our neighbor’s unit; the result was better than we hoped and blended well into the exiting home design. Hector is easy to work with and the team assigned to our project, Jacob and Mauricio, were excellent. They showed up on time each day and got the entire project done in a week. The improvement not only extends our outdoor living space but also provides a much-enhanced curb appeal to our property (not to mention needed structural repair). We strongly recommend using House Doctors of McLean – they were straightforward on pricing too, very reasonable.

House Doctors are the best contractors I have had in 40 years. They fixed a stubborn leak in the masonry and doors, repaired a leaky gutter, and did a great job of powerwashing the front and back. The cost was reasonable and the work performed outstanding.

It was a pleasure working/scheduling with Rich. I needed to remove an old mailbox and post and replace with a new one. He was responsive, courteous, punctual, and took the time to come out to the property beforehand to make sure all of the necessary components - box, post, customized address pieces were on-site so that there would be no wasted time on installation day and that any necessary accessories or hardware could be purchased in advance. As there was a delay in the ordering of the new mailbox, we stayed in touch and scheduled an installation date promptly after the mailbox arrived. House Doctors of McLean arrived on time and completed the job quickly. The new mailbox looks fantastic, and we thought the cost was very reasonable. Would hire again for similar or other projects.

His crews show up on time and perform the work exactly as promised. And Rich has always come to inspect the finished work to make sure it meets my expectations. I would recommend them to anyone.

House Doctors did a wonderful job. I had a punch list of projects to be completed and Rich's team was able to get it done quickly and expertly. I really appreciated Rich's candor during the fee estimate process. One of my projects was interior painting and in seeing the size of that project, Rich suggested that another service provider may be better suited. I will absolutely call House Doctors again!

House Doctors are my go-to people for any improvement projects in my business. I needed a quick installation of a protective glass shield at my office. House Doctors made recommendations and promptly installed the needed shield. They showed up on time, and did the work professionally.

These guys are great! They remodeled 1.5 baths, installed wainscoting, rehung my front door, and demo'd/redid a closet. They were conscientious and skilled, and the owner comes by to check on how things are going, which I thought was great. I'd rehire them again and have referred them to two friends.

They were able to come up with a creative, cost-effective fix to an unanticipated problem, which could have been expensive. Highly recommend, and plan to use again!

His prices are very reasonable and the quality of work exceeded my expectations. It went very well. Done in one day, old gate, fence posts etc., removed and area cleaned up before leaving.

Everything went very well. Initially, when I called the receptionist, Angie, listened to my requests carefully. She called me back the next day after talking to the technicians about possible options for a new cabinet or shelf. She quoted me an approximate price for the labor and had a carpenter out to my house the following day. The carpenter, Alex, was able to take the doors from my old cabinet and modify them. He built a new cabinet that fit perfectly above my new fridge. I was delighted with the outcome. Alex clearly takes pride in his work and is meticulous and precise about doing a good job. I was so happy that he could reuse my doors and have a new cabinet that looks exactly like the other cabinets in my kitchen.

Alex did the assessment, repairs and did an excellent job! There were a few things in which materials were reused and now with the new trim, they did not fit. I brought that up to Rich, who was very attentive and empathetic and got it fixed for a minor additional cost. I got estimates from 4 other top contractors at angies list and they all were within 10% of each other. I gave the job to alex and rich because they communicated clearly, openly and honestly. They did not resist feedback where it was warranted and took that opportunity to shine and gain my trust and appreciation. This is a brilliant crew!

Outstanding performance! I was in need of installing a flat screen TV for my office's reception area, and I did not have the TV or time to find and install one. House Doctors of Mclean took care of everything! They purchased the equipment to my specifications, and quickly mounted it on the wall. The packaging material and any debris were promptly removed. A completely hassle-free experience. I have already hired them for other jobs I need done in my office.
