Home Paramount

Lamar has worked on our house since we first arrived 13 years ago and knows everyone in our family by name. He is prompt, courteous, and jovial. He's the #1 reason we stick with Home Paramount. We have had little/no problems with insects since we have lived in the house. If we see a large number of ants or other bugs outside, he comes on request over and above the quarterly service.

Well. They combined several treatment approaches. We haven't seen evidence of any ant activity since.

Ants taken care of no problem, spiders still an issue but better. They are pretty ineffective against the huge cockroaches that wander in through our fireplace and basically make no apologies for it, as though dealing with the roaches is our problem... Nevermind we pay them expressly for this. They are always willing to inspect to try to up sell you though.

I have had a pest control contract with Home Paramount for more than 25 years. Among other services, they do an annual  termite inspection.I?ve been happy with their service until now.
During my termite inspection, the technician discovered that I had a mouse infestation in my attic. The recommended action was to eradicate the mice, pull out and replace the attic insulation, and seal all points of entry. I was told their usual price for that service was $6/square foot ($14,400 for my house), but since I had been such a loyal customer, they?d do it for $4/square foot ($9,600). When I said that sounded very high for the work to be performed, they brought the business manager out to my house to negotiate. He brought it down to $3.25/square foot ($7,800). I asked if I could finance a portion of it. We filled out a credit application and he called their credit provider. I asked if I could get an interest-free loan for a specified period of time.
What the loan company offered me was 6 months credit free and 12.9% after that. I told the credit person he was crazy, no deal. I told the Paramount biz manager that I?d go to my bank and see about a home equity loan and get back to him.
The drastic price reduction from $14,400 to $7,800 set off some warning bells for me, so I decided to get a second estimate. So I called another company for a 2nd opinion. When the technician got up into my attic, he started laughing. ?You don?t have a mouse infestation.? At worst, I only had a couple mice, and he saw no evidence of recent activity. Any problems could easily be solved with traps, and there was no need to change the insulation.
Until now, the service from Home Paramount has been excellent, although they do try to upsell me every year during their
inspection. But I know that?s what they?re doing and it?s easy to say no. Telling me I have a problem when I don?t is a different matter. Very disappointed in Home Paramount.
(Explanation ? I said I would use this provider again in the future. I may keep my pest control maintenance contract with them since I have no complaints about that, but I would not use them to perform other services that represent needless upsells. For now, I will give them the benefit of the doubt that this was an anomaly).

The specialist came within the time frame we were given and sprayed the perimeter of the house to keep insects out.  We have used this company for the entire time we have lived here (about 28 years) and had no problems with their work.  Our house has not had any real infestations in all this time.  They are also keeping up our termite protection - a separate protection from the quarterly treatments.  The office we use is on 1327 Horner Road, Woodbridge, VA 22191.

It's a national chain. The quality is fine. They're pest control service. Nothing ever stands out.

They have been pretty good. I have been happy with my overall experience. There have been some recent employee changes, and I have been very happy with those changes. The new man is good about communicating with me about scheduling and dealing with my dogs while they are working.

He did nothing. Came to giver an estimate but he could not answer simple questions. I was not impressed. He had a routine to follow that did not apply to this situation. I told him "no thank you" and he left.

Home paramount vacuumed out the old insulation in the attic and replaced it with and quot;critterand quot; resistant insulation. There estimate was half the estimate provided by Affordable Pest Control for the same job.

I was very satisfied and happy with them. They were great.

I like that they sometimes get the job done. The results are mixed. Our house gets termites and they used to have a major termite problem in the past. They sprayed in the crawl space and outside our house and we stopped seeing termites after that but they kept coming back for three or four years. Finally I asked the guy to do a really good job and he did it and we haven't seen them come back. They won't charge you for touch ups.
