Overall my experience was horrible. Hawa misbilled me, presented false and multiple invoices and squandered draw requests that were to be paid to the subcontractors. He requested monies for services not rendered using notarized draw requests vowing that the subcontractors were paid while all along he was not paying them. He paid with and charged the project for speeding tickets, motor vehicle registrations, and parking tickets. He hired an unliscenced electrician to work on my home. then sued that electrician with monies from my project only to recieve a settlement and never return my money. I did not know of the suit until 18 months later. Funny thing is that he hired another electrician whom billled the job more than double the amount of the contract. He created false invoices in order to defraud me of monies. The subcontractors have yet to be paid and have been cheated out of monies that Hawa has claimed to have paid them. Hawa has charged me for scope of work issues per his spec bid and then has tried to bill me as though they are change orders which I never saw nor signed. I have asked over and over for an accounting and he refuses to provide one. I have since hired an accountant and discovered what I thought . The discovery was that Hawa has collected monies and not paid whom he was supposed to pay. However, Hawa paid himself in full first. I have countless credits due to me and he has yet to reconcile his books. His subcontractors were told that I did not pay him and in fact I have all cancelled checks to prove that I did make payment to HAWA. His criminal activity is obvious to me. He still will not and cannot provide valid invoices for projeect work. This man has commited fraud. I have all documentation to prove these allegations. Also, one last note is that HAWA walked off of the job and did not finish. I am sure it was because his activity was being found out. The job was completed by another contractor. There are so many more issues but I think one can get the picture. I would also like to point out that I was left with a home that had no warranties on work provided. It is my understanding that warranties are in place for one year after completion. Again, Hawa did not complete the job, and yes I did have issues with work that would have fallen under warranty.
