Brown's Hardware was established in 1883 and has been owned and operated by the Browns ever since. An historic and community icon for Falls Church and surrounding areas, Browns provides many services for their devoted customers.
Services we offer
Brown's Hardware offers re-screening, lamp repair, lock re-keying, local mulch delivery, glass cutting and plexiglass, and a wide range of other services.
Services we don't offer
Browns does not provide rental equipment for home repair. We do not make house calls for screen repair. We do not sell safety glass.

They helped me find what I needed and are an old fashioned hardware store. I can walk in an immediately find someone I can ask for help. They are completely responsive and very friendly so I don't have to go hunting for things. They are wonderful and I much prefer to use them over a big box home improvement store. I can make a quick trip here and find what I am looking for very easily; it is reasonably priced.

I like them a lot. They seem to have everything I need. The people there are really smart, they know stuff. I ask them questions, they give me answers. It is a small independent place but has a lot of stuff, I like going there.

It is fantastic! The price is very reasonable. Most of the time when I go in here I'm getting some small but essential item. They are happy to help me find the smallest of items up to the largest.

If there is anything I need they have. It is small but it carries everything. The workers are so helpful They will take the time to explain to you what you are doing and what you need. I just love them. I think they are great. They have been in the neighborhood for 30 years maybe longer. They are just a gem in the neighborhood. Helpful, courteous and friendly and they are willing to share with you.

SO GREAT. These are such wonderful people. My teenage son and I went in the store. Within 30 seconds Mr. Brown ask us what we needed and in less than 3 minutes our glass was cut and ready. He also pulled our trim for us. My 16 year old was so impressed with the Hardware store. He said "this is so much better than another home improvement store!" If you need a piece of glass, or just about any other hardware related item, they'll have. These folks know their store and you can get help easier. Can't say enough great things about Brown's. Now that we know about them we'll shop there again. Oh, and the Glass was dirt cheap. $3.20 for 2 panes! And it fit the door exactly. Made my repair so easy!!

I needed a gasket for my toilet flapper valve. A home improvement store didn't have one that would fit my toilet. Brown's Hardware did.

fine, I like this store because the staff there can answer any question and they give out local business cards for home repair services. Store has been at this location for decades, small, but you can find what you want AND get sales help.
