Art Connection Oriental Rugs

I have been a customer of Hedayat for well over 9 years, from the time his ad appeared in Angies List. He is an expert on all things carpets which means as an appraiser, in addition to the cleaning and repair services provided, the quality of the work is the best it gets. My carpets thanks to the care given, all continue to look as they did when I brought them back to the US from the Middle East 14 years ago. I highly recommend Art Connection to those members who are seeking expert evaluation of and care for their prized Oriental carpets.

Art Connection Oriental Rugs did not do a good job on our rug. We had to have it re-done and it still has stains in it. Not good. They didn't do it when they said they could. I think the price was reasonable. They did respond by doing it again. I guess, they could've said that they couldn't do the cleaning and given us a refund.

Excellent! They were good across the board. Good prices, ability to pick up and deliver. He’s also an expert in oriental rugs, so any repairs or anything that might need to be made, he can explain what’s happening to the rug and about what it would cost to repair it. He did not push repairs on us at all.

Fine work. Not only did he clean the carpets, and his prices were reasonable, but he gave me a short history of the makers of the carpet and the time frame that particular style was produced. He really knew his carpets.

The owner did a fabulous job of cleaning my rugs! As a matter of fact, I almost did not recognize one of them when he was done because it looked so different (and so much better)! He is very knowledgeable about the various types of rugs and treated them all very carefully. He also gave me a mini-education on some of mine. I like to buy things at estate sales and consignment shops, so I don't always know much about what I buy. He was able to tell me about some of the rugs I'd purchased over the years, such as age, country of origin, dye process, etc. It was great!

Mr Hedayat came to our home, inspected the rugs,offered his recommendations, and computed an exact price.  He then carried the rugs to his repair/cleaning facility.  He came across as very professional and knowledgeable.  Interestingly, several hours after he left, Mr Hedayat called to inform us that he had inadvertantly computed several of the prices twice; therefore, he lowered the total by $300!!!  We were very impressed with his honesty.
Mr Hedayat told us ten business days to have the work done.  He called on the ninth day and set a time to deliver the rugs the following day.  He was right on time, and the rugs looked  great!  He unrolled each rug and explained exactly what had been done and why.
Mr Hedayat is very low key and easy to deal with---an obvious expert in his field.  We recommend this company highly and will most definitely use them again.

They did a great job, and the price was very competitive.  Employees were very knowledgeable and helpful.

I had two wool area rugs, 8x10 and 5x8, that were dirty and pet stained and in serious need of cleaning.  The gentleman that came explained that these rugs are glued rather than woven and would not withstand a soaking as it would seperate the pile from the backing.  But I needed them cleaned anyway.  So he took them and 23 days later he returned the rugs in pristine condition.  I was so pleased with the result I asked about two other smaller carpets.  And he gave some free advice on how to clean them and that it would not be worth the cost to have them done professionally.  I would HIGHLY recommend this company if you have area rugs that need cleaning.  They are knowledgable and professional.

Cleaned and repaired a valuable 3x5 Persian carpet to look like new.  Cats destroyed the fringe.  It was expensive but it was a good job.

I was quite pleased with the services provided and the level of professionalism that accompanied the provision of those services.   I have a 5 by 7 oriental rug that had not been cleaned in several years and had recently fallen victim to several splashes of red wine.  After parsing through several reviews on Angie's list, I called Art Oriental to set up an appointment to review the rug, explain what would be required to clean the rug, and pick-up.   The appointment went as scheduled and was remarkably pleasant.  I learnt quite a bit about my own rug and the processes that would go into its cleaning.  The rug was delivered two weeks after it had been picked up and now looks great.  The red wine stains are barely discernible, if at all.  I would use this provider again.  I highly recommend them.

The owner was very professional over the phone initially and the in person when I brought the rugs to the store. He was helpful in his suggestions of what to do to treat the rugs, repair and maintain and I really appreciated his obvious experience. He is very personable and I thought the price was completely fair. I will definitely bring the rugs back periodically to clean (like I now know you are supposed to!).

They were wonderful. They were incredible cleaning oil and dirt I had on my carpet. They had good ratings and good comments from people in Angie’s List and that is how I found them. We had an oriental rug that was stained or rough stained and I expected that it would only come back clean but it came back looking brand new. I was amazed at how stronger they were. They charge by square foot and I had 9 ½’ by 13’ which was a very big rug. They also repaired the rug as there was a part of a rug that was chewed off by one of my dogs and they rewove it and it just looks beautiful. The rug they said it needed extensive soaking with all the pet stains and all. So they kept it for couple of weeks as they took it on March 26th and brought it back on April 8th. They were wonderful. I would definitely use them again. I have recommended them to neighbors of mine. I have had one more large company who are large ones in this area, really big company but when they had brought the rug back it looked like they had just welded up, put it in a truck, didn’t do anything with it and they brought it back in couple of weeks. Art Connection Company is just amazing.

I was really impressed with how responsive the owner was and with how the rugs turned out.  These rugs had been in a house with dogs for several years, including a couple sickly geriatric dogs for the last few months -- so you can imagine the kind of abuse these rugs had seen!  The rugs look like new.  There was a little bleeding of the colors, which is inevitable with natural dyes, but you can only tell if you're really looking for it.  The rugs were ready about two weeks after I dropped them off.  I had told him I wasn't in a rush, and I was happy with the turnaround time.
