Description of Work: Mr. Rashid Ahmed, the longtime propriitor of the shop, is very knowledgable about Miele vacumn cleaners. I had an ald Meile , the power train of which was broken. He gave me the price for a new power train and suggested that I might want to invest in a new miele instead because of its improved features. My wife and i visited his shop. He was pateient, and helpful. We did decide on the new one. I mentioned that if I coull find a new power train for the old Miele, which was otherwise in good shape, I'd use it for my basement. He said he will keep watch for an old Miele being replaced that has a workable power train. About 2 weeks later he called me saying he found one. He have it to me and would not charge anything. It was close to new. I use it with the old Miehle for my basement. Mr Rashid Almed also does repairs. When the time comes I will use him for that too.

 + -1 moreExtremely Rude and hostile employee (possible owner/operator). I have Dyson DC18 that needed repair. I had partially disassembled the vac to replace a switch, but job became too difficult. I called Dyson (Excellent company and 1-800 service) and was directed to Americana Vacuum for warranty service. Service ticket w/ confirmation # was made the day before. Employee was rude, challenging, and no customer service from the very beginning. Employee did not recognize parts and told me they did not come from the vacuum. He became aggressive and hostile... starting yelling, calling me names, and threatened violence. I really think he is insane. I immediately left the shop and called Dyson and reported the incident. Stay away from Americana Vacuums in Falls Church, VA.
