Property Management
We employed Weichert for one year and immediately switched companies when our contract was up. There was an overall lack of communication and non-responsiveness between Weichert and us (owners) and Weichert and tenants. I constantly had my tenant calling me, because Weichert wouldn't respond to them. In order to receive any documentation, we had to make repeated requests.
When repairs were made, Weichert decided to ignore our requests to use our warranty company. At one time, they allowed a leaking water heater to go unrepaired for almost a week, resulting in a $500 bill for water extraction. The lack of follow up with problems resulted in having to call vendors and fix items myself.
The final straw was when our tenants decided to move out early. The lease indicated that they were responsibly for rent until the end of the lease term, and three separate emails (and two phone calls) instructing her to withhold the rent from their security deposit resulted in her sending the money right back to them.
