Virginia Ballet Co and School Inc

I have had my daughters enrolled in Virginia Ballet for years (my oldest daughter for about 6 years). I have been extremely pleased with the high quality of instruction and the exceptional performance opportunities. To the best of my knowledge, this is the only ballet company in Northern Virginia that regularly produces two full length classical ballets each year - Nutcracker at Christmas, and one of the other classical ballets in the Spring (Swan Lake, Snow White, Copellia, Don Quixote, Giselle, etc.). Most importantly, the artistic director goes out of her way to provide challenging roles to each of the dancers (whereas the productions of some other studios we have tried in the past seemed to revolve around a handful of and quot;starand quot; dancers, with everyone else in the background). Costwise, I cannot complain, given the high quality of instruction and the total number of instructional hours. I believe I pay a little under $300 a month for about 12 hours of scheduled instruction per week for my oldest daughter, and on top of that she receives many additional hours of instruction as part of the rehearsals for the two major productions without additional charge. The instructors are firm but kind to the dancers. It's a fairly rigorous program of instruction, but the results are really impressive over time.

I have been with Virginia Ballet Company for a lot of years. Their prices are excellent. The instruction is of the highest quality. The atmosphere is very family friendly. Their focus is on developing the whole child.

They have a wide range of classes. They are very professional and very friendly. It's hard to understand their method of charging. Their prices are reasonable but they have to explain to everybody the rates they charge.
