Veteran's Remodeling and Construction

I was referred to Veteran's Remodeling by several friends who had used the company and been very pleased with the work and I certainly found out why. In my bedroom and living room, the floor was originally a boring laminate. I had them tear that out and replace it with glossy, butterscotch, 3.25 inch oak planks. There were a lot of great options in their selection but I liked this one in the best. In the kitchen, they pulled out the same laminate flooring and replaced it with ceramic tiles. I had them install granite countertops too, redo all the cabinets and put up a subway-pattern tile backsplash. In the bathroom, they got rid of my original 2x2in. white tile, replaced it with 4x4 with a nice border. They also refinished the bathtub, put in a new vanity mirror and medicine cabinet and installed new lighting. in the bedroom, I had them install a lighted fan. Had them repaint the entire condo too, fix a few holes and touch up the trimming along the way
When I inquired with a couple other contractors, they estimated the work would run about $15K or higher. But Adam's estimate came in at $12K and he stuck to it. Also, when you ask around about GCs, you hear a lot of horror stories, but the Veteran's Remodeling team performed flawlessly. Adam and the team were fast, courteous, efficient, very professional. I did not have to monitor them or make sure they started work on time like I've heard has to be done with a lot of other contractors. They also met their original deadline, completing the job on a Sunday, a rarity in the business. Will definitely hire them again next time. Would highly recommend others do the same.

These guys were great.. Estimate went smoothly. I felt really comfortable with Adam, that he was going to go above and beyond which is exactly why I went with him. He also explained the experience of his crews which was the closer for me.
The crews were on time and solid. They did great work and were extremely clean. I would definitely use them again and recommend them highly to all my friends.

The hardwood floors and kitchen counter were done very well and I was happy with that part of the work. As for the rest of the work I was not satisfied and had to have them return several times and still was not completely satisfied. The work was done on a barter basis and I felt that this is the reason for the poor quality of workmanship. I have requested list of materials and labor costs and have yet to receive one. Adam (the contractor) is a lawyer and that was one of the first things he said to me. All I can and will say is check references, get everything in writing and use the vendor with discretion.
