Highly recommend! Brake Squad is outstanding, and it couldn't have gone better. Joe arrived early, called me, and asked if we could start early. He arrived 2 hours before my scheduled time and was completed more than an hour before he was scheduled to begin. It took him about 45 minutes to complete the work on my car. I would hire them again in a heartbeat! They saved me probably a couple hundred from the dealership, plus a significant wait. Brake Squad comes to your home and takes care of it there. Joe was super personable and Crystal was super accommodating via email and phone. Can't say enough good things about this company!! I will use them again when I next need brakes.

It could not have gone any smoother. Joe arrived early and diagnosed my problem. The work was completed expeditiously and thoroughly. I could not be more pleased with this fine company. I’ve been using them for years and I’ll be a customer as long as I own a car.

The Brake Squad was top notch from beginning to end. I sent a worst case scenario estimate request over the weekend. I got the answer first thing Monday morning, that was followed by a phone call to discuss the work needed. I scheduled a person for 12:30pm that day to come to my house. I had a problem at work, so called back and they were able to keep the same time, but have them come to my office instead. Alex came out, on time! And inspected the brakes. Gave me a quote and then went to work. Oh by the way, it had started to rain and he still went and did the work. All was done by 2:00pm and I never had to leave my office! Thanks, I will definitely use them again!

Ever had Shakey-Brakey(tm)? You know. You apply your brakes and your car shakes to a stop. Well I did so I had to go to the brake doctor, and I found one great practice: The Brake Squad. I made sent in a request on their web site, and shortly afterwards a representative called me and we talked details. They gave me a "worst case" price which was in line with what I expected. I set up an appointment with them for 1pm on the following Wednesday (today) and began the wait. The tech (Alex) called me at 11:25am saying that he was able to get to me early, and he was here about 10 minutes later. He examined my brakes and took it for a test ride. Now -- here's the good part -- He could have said, "Yup, you need all four wheels done.", but he didn't. He said the back brakes were fine and the front had a small shimmy at 50mph. (It's worst when going faster.) We agreed on the price and about an hour later, he was done. I HIGHLY recommend this company. They did a great job and I didn't have to drive to a shop to get it done. Thanks, Brake Squad and Alex. Great job.

This is a great company. Joe called me the night before to confirm the specifications of my truck so he could bring the correct parts for the next morning’s appointment. He showed up early, completely prepared for the repair. He replaced the brake pads & rotors on all four tires of an 8600 lb. box truck in a little over 1 hour. Wow! The box truck for my moving business didn’t sit in a shop for 2 days waiting on parts. My customers jobs didn’t have to be re-scheduled to another day thanks to Joe. This company’s response time, communication, quality of work & professionalism were nothing short of outstanding! Thank you, Joe!

Joe did an excellent job! He was very knowledgeable and friendly! He even showed us the old parts so we could see how worn-down they were compared to the new parts. We had all 4 tires done on our van (rotors and pads) and a brake flush. The entire service took 1 hr 45 min. The best part is that my husband and I could stay at home with the kids instead of having to drop the car off at a shop and pick it up whenever THEY would be done. It was done on OUR terms when WE had the time. We loved it!

This company is very good from initial contact to the time they drive away from your home. The sales person qualified my needs, answered questions, and gave pricing options based on what the service guy (Alex) says is needed. I made the appointment the day after calling them and Alex came on time and walked me through the process and wondered why I called them. I advised I was pretty sure I needed at least pads on all four wheels, but ended up needing rotors as well, which was not a surprise to me. Alex too about one hour to do the job, I paid him, and the job was done. This company is very good at what they do and nothing beats coming to your house for a car repair. Thank you for a great experience.

After an initial inspection, Alex noticed uneven wear on 1 of the 4 front brake pads (metal to metal while the other 3 were OK), which he thought was odd. As he started the work of replacing them, he identified the culprit - an improperly installed caliper clip. Instead of completing the job and collecting payment, he showed me the issue, sent me pictures he took of it for documentation and said I should contact the dealer's garage who performed the original installation. Long story short, this luxury automaker's garage refused to recognize their shoddy workmanship, so I had Alex replace them for me. While I'm still working with the garage on restitution, I can not say enough about The Brake Squad and in particular, Alex's professionalism, integrity and quality of work. You can trust this company to take care of your car - don't hesitate to give them a call, you'll be glad you did.

I can't say anything better about my experience! My breaks were a bit of an unusual problem, but the team was super professional and skilled enough to take care of the issues. Alex was seriously a lifesaver! They were on time, pleasant to work with and the job cost over a grand less than my usual mechanic. Highly recommend!

Service was excellent. After trying (and failing) to get appointments at other businesses, I called the Brake Guys and got a prompt response. They quoted me a very good price and scheduled the appointment for the next day. Alex came to my office, inspected the car and pointed out exactly what I needed. I was able to split the payment in two for a nominal fee, which really helped as well. The work was done while I worked in my office, and completed in less than 2 hours. I couldn't be happier with the results! Only wish I'd called them first!

The work took less that 15 hours from 1st call to completion time, The actual work time was as stated, just one hour. Joe was personable and professional. He kept me informed about the entire process and offered advice. He did not try to sell me anything other than the services agreed upon. I will be highly recommending the Brake Squad.

Had to replace the front brake pads to pass the inspection. Called them for scheduling an appoint. Luckily I was able to schedule it for the next day. Next day, the guy showed up on time. Although it was raining on that day, he did not hesitate to work outside (offered an underground garage, but his car was too tall). He discovered that the brake needed a new bolt. He just went to a store to buy and he only charged for the bolt (how nice!). He also noticed that the rear brake pads and rotors need to be replaced, but no hard pushing. Because it was raining and he had to run to the store, it took a while. The price was bit high, I think, but with his professionalism and service, and its convenience, overall experience was great.

UPDATE 12/29/2015 Alex arrived on time as expected. Once again, I was impressed with the professionalism! He installed rear rotors and rear brake Pads. It was done right in my garage for about an hour. It probably could of taken less time, if I hadn't once again, talked him to death! THANK YOU Alex and the Brake Squad!!! 12/22/2015 Two weeks ago, I went to Car Stealership #1 to have a simple, yet over-priced oil change and low and behold, the service rep says in a concerning, yet scare-tactic-like voice, "Ms. So-and-So, during our 'complimentary' zillion-point, thorough inspection, the tech found that your front and rear brakes need to be replaced, along with the rear calibers. I wouldn't wait to do this!" I can't quite remember the exact total cost but it was at least $1000, with the rear calibers alone costing $526.00. I declined and had a lovely lunch at Panera. A week later, I went to Car Stealership #2 to have a service light checked. As I waited for the oh-so-predictable upsale from the service tech, all he said was I would need rear brakes soon. So, yesterday, I s earched Yelp, Google, FB and AngiesList for reviews of reputable, honest and certified brake repair businesses. Each search led me back to the overwhelming great reviews of the Brake Squad. I will be honest, I was concerned about have some dude I don't know working on my brakes.... Oh wait.... that is what I have been doing at Car Stealership #1 for over 10 years because they change service managers like a new-born baby's diaper! So, I decided to give Brake Squad a call. The initial first impression was just outstanding. I spoke with Danielle (sp?) who patiently listen as fumbled through Car Stealerships #1's "must do now" recommendations. I will say, I don't know a caliber from a caper (well, I do know what a caper is and I don't really like them!) Anyway, after giving Danielle my make, model and year she provided me several quotes based upon different brake services but she offer another service, the "Brake Inspection" for $50. I accepted the service and Brake Squad was there that same afternoon. I was concerned about the quality of parts as I have done most of my services at the Car Stealership because I try to use OEM parts. Danielle explained that they use OEM equivalent parts and there is a 12 month warranty on labor and parts! Alex called and asked if he can come early and I said sure! When he arrived, he politely introduced himself and explained what was about to happen. He didn't seem to mind that I had a bunch of questions and he showed me the pad wear, etc. Alex checked my car out for about 30 minutes I believe. Long story short (or not so short, LOL!), Alex advised that I needed to replace my rear rotors and brake pads. (Note: my rotors had been resurfaced previously.) The total was $499.00 (plus I can deduct the $50 brake inspection fee). I am scheduled for the follow-on service! I will update my review when that service is complete.

Alex arrived on time and was very professional. He explained what needed to be done and even showed me the parts he had with him to install. It didn't seem to take much time at all, maybe 45 minutes to complete. All done right in the drive way. with no mess left behind. Afterwards, I was given a $20 coupon for future service. The cost for their service is not cheap, but they use quality products, guarantee their work, and it is convenient. I would highly recommend The Brake Squad, especially for those who want quality workmanship and products, and do not wish to wait at an auto shop or dealership for brake replacement.

Fantastic! Alex was great. I watched the whole process and therefore understood what he was observing and what needed to be addressed and why. The most significant thing I learned was that the pads should have been grinded where the metal bracket fits in when they were replaced before. Because they had not been adjusted this way my pads wore unevenly because they were getting stuck as they were moving in and out. Alex made sure the new pads would not have this issue. Why was this not done by my previous mechanic? I do not know. He was an excellent mechanic (pricey too) but I am sure he was in a rush and just did not see that it needed to be done. This is why the Brake Squad is the way to go - they are specialists and they take their time to make sure the job is done correctly. I have left other mechanics over the years (I am 46) after brake work and had brake issues that had to be revisited wasting my precious time. After Alex was done the brakes on my old truck felt so solid and so right I can definitely say that it was the best brake job I have ever had done. And the price with the coupon put it under my old mechanic's price from two years ago. I highly recommend Alex and the Brake Squad.

The whole experience was consistently positive. I established initial contact via Angie's List; they responded promptly and, after calling them, we scheduled my appointment for the very next day. The technician showed up on time; the very idea that they come to where you are (vs. having to go to their location and wait while they work) was fantastic and super convenient. I explained I wanted to make sure the car was safe, but that I'm going to be replacing the car in 4-5 months and drive very, very few miles, so just wanted to do what needed to be done to bridge that time period. After looking at both the front and rear brakes, he said I still have 30-40% left on the front pads, so could just do the rear brakes. He quoted me the price and then moved forward with the work. It was done in one hour while i waited in the comfort of my home; I drove the car yesterday and it all felt great! Just a great overall experience and would definitely use this service again (already recommended it to my sister!).

Earlier in the week my regular mechanic "inspected" my brakes while changing my vehicles' oil...and they determined that the front end brake pads, rotors and calipers needed to be replaced. The estimate for the brake work was $1359. I didn't believe that they actually took the tires off and checked to see if the calipers needed to be replaced, so I went to Angieslist where I found The Brake Squad. I called and spoke with Diane? (sorry for forgetting your name). I told her my Vehicle's year, make and model and set up an appointment for the following day. The man from The Brake Squad, Alex, gave me a call a little more than an hour before the appointment time, to let me know that he was ahead of schedule. When he arrived, he inspected the front and rear brakes and determined that only the front brake pads and rotors needed to be replaced. Since I told The Brake Squad my vehicle's year, make and model in the initial call, I was a little surprised that Alex didn't arrive with the parts, but he acquired them quickly and installed the new parts in short order. From start to finish, it took 1hr and 45 minutes and 1/3 of my normal mechanic's estimate. Thanks again and keep up the great work.

On my drive home on Friday I noticed the tell-tale squeaking sound from my front wheel well. Knowing it was time to get new pads, I initially was going to take my car into the Midas dealership when I found Joe and The Brake Squad on Angie's List and Google. Given the excellent reviews, convenience, and competitive pricing...I gave it a shot and called. They indicated they could fit me in the next day on Saturday at 2 p.m. Joe, the owner, arrived on time and lived up to the company's well-founded reputation. When starting the job, we discovered that my Civic was part of the 1% of Honda sedans made in Canada and required a special-sized pad. In less than 20 minutes, Joe had returned to my house and finished the entire job (including the trip to his distributor) in less than 1 hour. Bottom line, I would use Joe and The Brake Squad again in a heartbeat, and highly recommend them to everyone. He is in the process of franchising what I consider is a sound and excellent business model.

The front brake pads on our Altima needed to be replaced so that we could pass the VA safety inspection. I was able to purchase a coupon from the Brake Squad and get it applied to the repair. There was an extra charge of $25 for machining the rotors because they were a little warped. Setting up the appointment was very easy and they did a professional job. I would certainly use them again.
