RT Turf

I love RT Turf. They keep my townhome's yard mowed and last year I started having them do lawn maintenance and flower bed maintenance. They put mulch down spring and fall and also apply fertilizer, weed control and recommend anything else that needs to be done to keep the yard looking nice. I have a townhome, and so my front yard is super small, but still requires work. My backyard is mostly pavers but with a flower bed around the perimeter. RT Turf has done an excellent job.

All work is done promptly and courteously, and always at a reasonable price.

Landscaper said sod needed to be mowed at height no less than three inches. I gave these instructions to RT Turf. RT did first mowings really well and grass was doing fine. Last mowing they cut the grass way to short and caused bare spots and torn up areas of sod. When I questioned Rick, the owner, he took his time replying and then said and quot;oh I just forgot to tell the crew to mow at three inch height.and quot; I had to have landscaper back again and he will have to put top soil and reseed torn up areas to the tune of $150.00. RT did offer to do the reseeding but after the way he replied to his mowing mess up there is no way I will have him on my property again.

Overall it went well and I would use RT Turf again.

I really like the services. Provided by RT Turf Maintenance. The have helped my lawn so much in the past two years. I will continue to use them for years to come.

I made an appointment with Rick Young via email, to meet me at the property at 11:30AM on Tuesday, August 30, 2011. He was going to look at what I needed to have done and give me an estimate. I needed tree and bush trimming, dead bushes removed, mulch put down, mowing, etc., etc. I drove two hours to meet with him.

He didn't show up at the appointment time. I called at 12:00 and left a voicemail message. At 12:30, called and left a second voicemail message. At 1:30, sent an email asking why he didn't keep the appointment. I received no response on Tuesday.

On Wednesday morning, I received an email saying he had a bad head cold and forgot the appointment.

Fortunately, I had a fallback option, and didn't waste the entire day.

Not keeping the appointment is bad enough, but not calling ahead of time to reschedule, and not responding to voice messages, is extremely unprofessional.

He has been great! It's a wonderful company. He does very good work and is very reliable.

I am extremely pleased with them, they do a good job and the price is very reasonable. They always leave a note in the door on the day they were here.

Customer service is outstanding. I am always able to get my questions/concerns addressed in person on the phone. They are very accommodating and will work wtih me on special circumstances i.e. not mowing when the dog is in the yard. This was arranged over the phone. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a good lawncare company.

They do a superior job and I would recommend RT Turf without hesitation.

They are great. We just have the basic service right now. It is so nice to come home and find the yard look clean. Their price is excellent.

They absolutely botched the pruning jobs, ruining one very valuable shrub in particular. I actually cried when I came home and saw how my delicate cypress had been cut to the trunk with a power tool. In addition, the limbing they did damaged the appearance of a beautiful crape myrtle tree. The owner then repeatedly missed appointments to discuss restitution, promised a replacement shrub and didn't come through, and then did not return phone calls. It's not only the incompetent work, but the lack of professionalism that causes me to give RT Turf the lowest possible grades.

There aren't many companies who will come in and do the lawn mowing in a town home. This guy does it at a reasonable price, and he's reliable. Responsive, dependable.

I have used them for a number of years now and referred them to several of my neighbors that use them now. They have done fertilizing for me also. They do an excellent job. They provide a full range of services and have always done a good job. If they know something needs to be done they will tell us about it.

It has been hit and miss but things have gotten a bit better as of late after my husband called the office to complain about the sloppy lawn moving. The lawn mowing personnel were not mowing anything beyond the center plots of grass in our front and rear yards. The result is that we had grass and weeds growing as high as two-three feet along the borders of our front and rear yards. It was truly frustrating considering how small our yard is. Over the last two weeks things have improved but my husband noticed that the company representative told him that he needed to specify our desire that the mowers cut the grass along the borders and edges of the yard. Weird!
