Renewal by Andersen does a great job selling you their goods but are absolutely horrendous at customer service after they have collected their money. It has been over a year since my windows were installed and I have been unable to get anyone to come back to fix the few defects. In fact I cannot get anyone to answer the phone or call me back or email me back at all after dozens and dozens of attempts.

I highly recommend contacting Ed Richardson at [email protected] . He spent half a day taking measurements & making sure I knew what my options were. The installation team worked like clockwork together, with attention to every detail they really took pride in their work. This is an old house so replacement windows was not going to be easy. Everyone we dealt with through the process was not only very professional, but also showed concern for us & ensuring this old house will keep us warm for many more Blue Ridge winters. I love our new windows & I really love the new gliding door to the deck.

The installers left black scuff marks on the floor in the basement. Since the installation, water has entered the house around three windows at different times. The glazing has been fine and the windows open and close smoothly, but around the windows where there is caulking, water has come in. It took several attempts by phone and email to get anyone with Andersen to respond. Andersen did re-caulk one window, but they told me the warranty for the caulking has passed.

Needed to replace two windows in my bedroom and be compliant with my HOA , Todd Stevens came to my home, this guy is extremely knowledgeable regarding any and all aspects of window replacement. This guy couldn't have been more helpful, truly if more contractors acted like him the industry wouldn't need a website like this to make them honest! I will say they are pricey but the quality and professionalism is worth it. Todd went above and beyond what normal contractors would do, i highly recommend this company and highly advise you ask for Todd Stevens!

Professional work crew did an excellent job. Windows look beautiful and we are extremely pleased. We did lots of research on types of windows b/c we needed wooden windows inside. We decided on the Anderson b/c we put them in one room last year and were extremely happy with how they turned out. The company has been responsive and the salesman even thought to have wooden inlay on the screen for my kitchen casement window so that the interior would be perfect. Little details go a long way. The cost of brass hardware did increase the overall cost but it matches our period home. Overall, we were very pleased with the entire process.

The representative is very experienced and knowledgeable. We feel we get the best value from the work and things we order.

Excellent - great customer service, prompt and professional

I had to replace my 23 year old wooden windows due to wood rot. The only the negative thing is that the windows are so expensive. So far, they've been great at keeping out heat in the summer, cold in the winter and rain anytime. Very easy to open and clean.

Crew that came called when they were in route and arrived right on schedule. They were very professional and made every effort not to track dirt and debris in to the house by laying down drop cloth anywhere they were going to be. After everything was installed one of the crew showed how to remove the windows for easy cleaning and reinstall them as well as where to find any related information for them.

The workmen were clean, professional and efficient. They did the work quickly and effectively. I was very pleased.

The work done was exceptional. The workers arrived on time, were very courteous, and kept the work areas clean during the installation.

Fantastic. Professional crew led by Daniel installed 14 windows, covered the floors and furniture, rehung the levolear blinds, cleaned inside and out -- you would never have known they were here except for the gorgeous new windows!

Everything turned out amazing! I wasn't here when they started the work, which took two days, I came back from work on the first day and they were still there working. I saw that they used pressure treated wood on the window sills inside. I said you can't put that pressure treated wood inside because it gives off poisonous fumes. The worker I was speaking with called the supervisor who said,"If it bothers her replace it". They had already installed the windows so they had to take the windows out to redo the sills. Also, one of the doors they installed has a dog door in it. They don't make the doors themselves but work with another company that does. The dog door wasn't very good. It was flimsy and allowed the rain to come into the room. Andersen asked me to write a review on the job and I listed the positive and the negative. In the negative I mentioned the door. They called me the next day and told me to pick out a new door and they'd install it. I found a better dog door and they ordered and installed it. The work they did was fine and the responsiveness to my problems was amazing.

Good, but it wasn't clear to me ahead of time I would be losing window size out of the deal - and I didn't understand they would be keeping the existing window frames. While the noise and heat transfer compared to my original 40 year old windows is certainly better, it is still noticeable. I also feel as though there is bleed through in wind and temperature in some of the window frames that probably wasn't there before they took the old windows out.
