Marcel is top shelf, will most definitely hire again

Preventive Maintenance is a top rated company! I had a 100-120 ft Oak that was in a very precarious state - aiming right at my house! I called and left messages with several other companies and a few of them acknowledged that I called but said it would be a week before someone would contact me in regards to my issue. My daughter saw Preventive Maintenance's recommendations through The South Riding Facebook group. I called and the owner, Marcel, said he could come by in a few hours and look at it. He showed up exactly when he said he would be there. He agreed that the tree needed to come down as soon as possible. I also had a second tree that wasn't as urgent but we decided to include it as well. He indicated he would have a quote for me within a few hours and he delivered again just as he said he would. The cost was completely reasonable and in actuality was well below what my husband thought it might cost. He didn't have the crew to take down the dangerous tree until Monday but he came over Saturday and took down the less urgent tree. On Monday he showed up an hour earlier than my appointment which was awesome because it was threatening to rain and I was concerned as to whether that could further delay bringing the tree down. The tree was brought down expertly and now I can sleep better knowing I won't have a tree visiting me in my dreams. My husband and I opted to do the removal of the downed trees ourselves so I can't speak to that aspect of his work. Given the level of attention that he provided, I think I can safely say, it would be excellent as well. I also want to add that Marcel stayed in touch with me from start to finish via texts and emails which I very much appreciated. He was also very friendly and fun to talk to. His "people" skills are an A+.

We give Preventive Maintenance a 5 star rating for their excellent work clearing up several major problems with our trees. They removed 15 very old Leyland cypresses, one dead Norfolk pine, dead branches from maples and, most importantly, removed many dead branches- large and small - on our huge 100+ year oak tree. Their expert tree climber spent almost 12 hours with our oak and a couple of maples carefully assessing and removing dead branches. We were worried that the old oak was beginning to decline. Now it looks very healthy. Their crew worked hard the whole 12 hours and left the yard, driveway and the street totally clean of all debris. The team also came back the next day and removed the stumps. Marcel competently managed the operation and worked as part of the team the whole time and his team members were courteous. Well done Preventive Maintenance!

Do lot of research and negotiations

Service exceeded our expectations and we are happy with our decision to have Marcel and his team remove trees from our property, prune multiple trees, and grind several stumps. We would use them again and will recommend to friends.

I received several quotes for this tree removal and Marcel made sure to give me the best price when I told him I was shopping around. Marcel was also very responsive and prompt in all his communication. I've already given his name and number to a neighbor. We will definitely use them again in the future when the need arises.

Excellent work. The tree looks great. They cleaned everything. They even went out of their way to blow out my gutters. My neighbors have commented on how much better the large tree looks after being trimmed by Preventive Maintenance.

Their response time was phenomenal. They had my holly bushes removed the same day I e-mailed them, and then had them grinded down a few days later. They are quick to answer e-mails and phone calls, and the quote was a fantastic price. They team did an excellent job. Worked with Marcel and scheduled a time to remove two trees. A work crew of 3 friendly people arrived at the scheduled time and immediately set to work. In short order the two trees were cut down, the stump was ground down and all remnants of the tree were hauled away. Then the cleaned up the area leaving no trace that two trees were ever present. Very professional and highly recommended.

HIGHLY recommend! Marcel and his team are experts in their work. After our initial meeting - Marcel promptly sent me an estimate that met or beat the other competitors I had been looking at to remove two very large trees (24+ inches dia. at base) and grind the stumps - one of which was 3 feet from our two story house requiring delicate work. A date was set and Marcel showed up right on time. His entire team was very friendly and accommodating. My wife even asked if they would slice a few pieces to keep as "stepping stones" for our landscaping. Not only did they do this for her - they sliced up many, many pieces and neatly stacked them as well. They cleaned up all of the branches and debri and it looked like no one had come over to cut down the trees. We have had other tree work done in the past - but Marcel and the Preventive Maintenance team were above and beyond the competition. I would hire them again in an instant. Very professional team

Preventive Maintenance, led by Marcel Girard, was the perfect crew to trim back the monstrosity of a tree in my front yard! Preventive was great, respectful and efficient. The job was done quickly & correctly. Other than my trees that were removed, there was no sign that they were ever there. Highly recommend!!!!

I have a number of large maples in my yard and they did a great job of trimming them. I addition they trimmed an Elm, a pine tree and grinded out a stump. Well below other quotes and they seemed to really know what they were doing.

Maurice and his associate did an excellent job of removing a large tree without damaging trees near it. The clean up was tremendous leaving my lawn cleaner than before they started.

Contacted Marcel about a downed tree from an ice storm. Within an hour he was out with his truck and had it removed before I knew it. Came back out a couple weeks later when I hired him to grind down some stumps, and was equally impressed with the work. They did such a great job cleaning up, when they left you couldn't even tell someone had been working there. Highly recommended for anyone looking for tree services.
