Potomac Valley Veterinary Hospital

We have been with Potomac Valley Vets at Twinbrook and would not go anywhere else. Our Jake passed a year after we came here and they were wonderful. We rescued two more dogs a few months later and all our care has been with them.

Dr. Cheema was concerned about a health change and suggested monitoring and a follow up in a month. His always carefully explains his concerns.

I've always had pets, so I've been to lots of vets over the years.   And I've had lots of disappointing experiences!   But I'm very happy with Potomac Valley.    I was able to get an appointment quickly, which was so appreciated.   Dr. Cheema provided a careful examination of my dog, who's having an eye problem.   He was very gentle with her, and he patiently answered all our questions.    He also greatly assisted us by suggesting we consult with a specialist.    This turned out to be exactly what our dog needed.    I also thank Dr. Cheema for suggesting a simple way of helping my dog with her allergies.    This has worked well and makes her much more comfortable!    Special thanks to Sarah and the other great team members, too!

He's very timely and very nice.  He has a good bedside manner.  They're absolutely great. They're very reasonable.  He explains the cost and the options ahead of time.  He's sympathetic with the pet and the owner.  They have my trust and my business, it was always been great dealing with them and I believe that should always be the case.

The experience was fine. I wouldn't call it an 'A', but I would call it a 'B'. I had an incident with them last year where I wasn't happy at all. They didn't explain things as well as I would have liked.

We like the doctors, the staff is very kind and we are very happy with them so far.

Their service was fairly priced. They were very good about explaining things to you, and I thought that was pretty good. I would definitely use them again in the future.

I highly recommend the veterinarian office of Potomac Valley Veterinary Hospital under the ownership in the last few years of Dr. Sandeep Cheema and his brother Dr. Randip Cheema. I started going to them when I became dissatisfied with my previous vet approximately 3 years ago. Both of the doctors are great with the animals, take the time to explain any issues with them and have very flexible office hours. They take and return your phone calls, even in the middle of the night. They are up to date on the most recent research for animal health, and if they don't know the answer they do the research. Unfortunately, over the course of the last three years, two of my dogs had to be euthanizd. These vets could not have been more compassionate, in one case, the doctor came to our home because it would be easier on the dog and us. We now have a new puppy and have already started taking her to them. Like I said, highly recommend.

Once I had to take in a sick kitten and called five minutes before they closed, they waited for me to come in with my kitten (who was lethargic and not wanting to eat/drink). She had eaten litter and could have easily died if not seen that night. Expenses, with x-rays and IV fluids were quite reasonable. The office always offers options and doesn't push high cost tests, etc.

I have used them for the last two years for my dog. They are wonderful. They provide personal care and are attentive to the animals. They are very caring and they get right on the floor with the animals. They are easy to talk to and very honest and tell you what is going on with your animals.

They are absolutely wonderful. I have never had someone so caring and professional. They sit and listen, they don't rush the visit, and they really care for your animals and get to know them. I'm confident my pets couldn't be in better hands than theirs. My daughters take their pets to them also and now my daugther's friend drives from Ashburn to bring her dog to them.

Experience was routine. Provided free nail trim, much appreciated.

Dr Cheema is very good with the kittens. He supports several local cat rescue programs. I have been taking foster/rescue cats to his office for two years. Once I had to come in with a sick kitten and he kept the practice open after hours to see her. He is always willing to go the extra mile for our rescue kitties.
