Getting approved for a home loan and getting the best possible rate can be overwhelming. Mike Stein and his amazing team have really streamlined the process and made what could be stressful very smooth. They made shee we understood what was happening at every turn and took the burden out of the dreaded documentation process. They are incredibly responsive and helpful. I've used them before and I know I will use them again. They really made a huge difference in our home purchasing journey!

After so many of my friends had recommended Mike Stein and his Team for a residential mortgage, I decided I should give him a call. I was just trying to see if it made sense to refinance our home. Mike was very responsive and willing to answer all of my questions. After taking the time to understand our situation, he recommended that we NOT refinance our home as there was not a big enough financial benefit. In an industry that seems so full of people just trying to get you to do a loan regardless of the benefit, it was refreshing to deal with someone who was friendly, honest and not just trying to get business. I feel totally confident in using Mike Stein in the future and highly recommend him to anyone who would like an honest opinion from a true professional.

It went great, Mike and his team did everything right and made the transaction extremely smooth. I had a VA loan, which made the cost of low extremely low for lender costs. The other typical closing costs are not attributed to the lender and not included in my service cost provided (since they don't apply to the lender).

Mike was awesome. We are looking for a mortgage to buy a single family home and i called his office to make an appointment. Was greeted very professionally and was able to get in to see him the next day. Upon arrival, again i was greeted professionally and waited only a few minutes to see mike even though i was early. We went back to his office and went over our scenario and ran the numbers. Our situation is complicated and mike took the time to understand our credit and history and even though we could not submit a loan application that day, he did not brush us off. Instead he took the time to tell me in great detail what we needed to do to get a loan completed and also gave us an idea of what to expect once we did the items he suggested. You can believe that in a few months when i have completed these items, i will be back to see mike to finish our mortgage application.

I had another preferred lender in the past but my clients and I are extremely happy that I made the switch in 2010 to Mike Stein with McLean Mortgage. Mike is simply the best loan officer you can get. I have worked in some mortgage companies (none that Mike worked for) so I know a lot of loan officers. When rates went down I was recommended to Mike and he made the process simple. The rates dropped to an even better low a couple of years later so I talked to Mike and refinanced a second time. This time his system had been upgraded so I could upload all of my paperwork through a secure system. Very nice and very easy! He is also very knowledgeable and can answer almost any questions.

The Process was very smooth and all communications were 1st Rate. Michael called Client when they expected and provided information of how the program for Financing that was needed to make an Offer for a Home Purchase. As a realtor I can depend on Michael at any time 7 Days a Week if needed and that is the exception as compared to other Loan Officer's in the Trade.

I have had the pleasure of having Mike Stein be the loan officer for both my original home purchase and for my recent refinance. Even though these transactions were 13 years apart, there was no doubt in my mind that I would rely on Mike to refinance my mortgage. Each time he would look at all my financials, and give me an estimate, but would explain that it probably wasn’t the best time for me. Then, finally it was the right time. Mike and his staff were extremely helpful through the process. There were able to get me pre-approved for my loan easily, and 95% of the mortgage was done on-line. Chris Barker gave me status update calls every Tuesday to let me know if there were any concerns and gave me updates on the closing. The loan closed smoothly, and I couldn't have asked for better. I have also done a refinance with him or my previous home. It went smoothly, and was closed in a timely manner.
