We had a short circuit in an electrical branch that in all three floors of our home and the exterior. We lost power without the circuit breaker being tripped. Corridon Electric, whom we have used before, sent Sean to our home to diagnose where the short was. Mike, who assigned Sean, told me that Sean was the best at locating these types of issues. Well, he was correct. Sean was exceptional. He located and repaired the outlet that caused the power disruption in less than an hour. We are happy to be repeat customers of Corridon Electric and will continue to use them for additional work. Thanks again, Sean.

Very smoothly. Technician explained to me what he was going to do before he did it and demonstrated that his fixes worked before he left.

They are good people. They have done a number of things for me over the years.

Over the phone the manager explained to me in detail the hourly rates and since I was just looking for repairs to existing light fixtures, and replacement of our kitchen ceiling fan, he gave me an estimate of how much it would cost. He was very professional and explained everything very clearly. On the day of the appointment, my technician Joe, arrived a little early and I still had to take my kids to school so he said no problem and came back in 1/2 hour. He was very polite and professional. Joe quickly diagnosed why my basement light wasn't working, a piece had gone bad and he told me what I needed to get to replace it. He installed my new ceiling fan, took down a chandelier, diagnosed an issue with our recessed lighting in our dining room and replaced the light fixture in my basement in 1 1/2 hours. Joe was amazing, and very friendly and polite, and answered all of the questions very thoroughly. I was very pleased with the service and the price came under the estimate I was given! I would highly recommend Jim Corridon Electric and we will use them in the future if the need arises.

While they were doing a service request, I asked why I would be shocked when I touched the outlet for the disposal and also another outlet in my bathroom.  He explained it may be a short somewhere. but then he immediately thought of the ground wire coming in from the power lines. It turned out that the ground wire from the power cable coming in from the outside house had broken off. This is a life threatening scenario. He called his office and the manager called Virginia Power- they came out within thirty minutes to correct the problem! They do an outstanding job and are very conscientious!

AFter the emergency call of the night before, they came first thing in the morning 8am to check. Their electrician, Sean, found a broken copper wire in an outlet and outlets with reverse polarity. He also found a faulty surge protector that has a burning smell. He checked many things and additional things about which I was concerned. (Two houses in the neighborhood have burned in the past year do to electrical fires.) He did not rush my questions. He did not try to sell me any services that I did not need. He was direct, matter of fact and focused on his work.
He was a very experienced electrician of high quality work (not sloppy and careless), very patience, and professional. This is my 2nd experience with them. Both times they sent a very experienced, very professional electricians. Their night manager was equally professional, walking me through an emergency electrical check list after the fire dept left.
They are not cheap. And they are well worth the money if you are at all concerned about a contractor's work that you cannot inspect, and that could cause an electrical fire and burn down your home. In both cases the electrician was very methodical and precise, did high quality work. Generally, we get what we pay for. I trust them and would not call anyone else. The very good thins is that they do quality work. The only negative thing is the miscommunication between the dispatch and technician. So, the technician did no have the supplies he needed.

The electrician quickly found and repaired the short circuit. Additionally, he identified other wiring areas that were "less than optimal". After explaining his findings and why he felt they were insufficient, he repaired the other areas as well.
The electrician came on very short notice and arrived when he said he would arrive.
