They did a great job on the project - completed on-time and on-budget. They made the whole process easy to understand in advance and to follow as the project unfolded. The system actually generates a bit more power than they had predicted.

Excellent experience working with these folks for design & install. I paid cash so did not need any financing. Now I have zero electric bill and am able to charge my two electric cars for free. I also get a check in the mail quarterly for sale of carbon offset credits, which they helped me set up. Highly recommended.

We spent a fair amount of time deciding which solar company to go with and Ipsun was the clear choice. The important considerations for us were that the company had an established track record, first-rate technical expertise, and solid evidence of doing business ethically. We did not look for the lowest price we could get, but we did want to be confident that we were getting a fair price. Our installation is now complete - just waiting for the county inspection and turn-on with Dominion power. We’re planning to update this review later after we see the effect on our electric bills. At this point we are delighted with every aspect of dealing with Ipsun. Every Ipsun person we’ve worked with has been first rate: knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. Our specific needs were very much taken into account during the design process. There was no pressure to buy anything we didn’t need, but care was taken that our system would be adequately sized. Ipsun’s quote wasn’t the lowest we got, but it was the one that provided the most value in terms of price vs capacity. Everything about the physical installation on the house looks beautiful - exactly to the design document. It was a pleasure to see the electrician and rooftop installers at work — they obviously take pride in doing excellent work.

Great service & very professional, there was a period without communication from the company due to COVID and restrictions imposed by Fairfax County. However, once Ipsun started working again and restrictions were lifted they were very responsive and we are very happy with the results. We are enjoying the money we save with our solar energy and very happy with the service we received from Ipsun. We highly recommend this company.

I decided to explore solar options after we moved into a new home and received some >$200 electric bills in the summer of 2019. I sought quotes from three companies. Ipsun and one competitor both offered competitive quotes and great initial service, with their sales representatives visiting my home and talking to me about what they could offer. I went with Ipsun in large part due to the specific parts that they were prepared to install--both the panels themselves and the inverter. There's a lot to learn about these pieces of equipment, so do your own research, but that's a big part of what you're paying for. I installed a 10.x kW system. Ipsun did the installation work in October 2019, and the system went live soon thereafter. Winter month solar production was fairly low, and we still had some low power bills during that time. Once we got to spring, however, we achieved effectively $0 power bills (you still need to pay an approx. $7/month connection fee to the power company). Even as of June 2020, we've continued to produce more than we use, adding to the carry-over credits, so I'm optimistic that we'll never pay another power bill in this home.

We had a great experience with Ipsun Solar and highly recommend them. Ipsun put 11 panels on our roof. We didn’t know much about the details of solar technology and Ipsun patiently answered every question we had. Once we signed they efficiently took care of permitting and HOA approvals. One of our favorite parts was how well they kept us informed. We received an email update every Tuesday, so we knew how things were moving along. Installation day was wonderful. They showed up when they said they would, were respectful, were very kind and patient with a curious toddler, and cleaned up when they were done. We appreciated that all of the folks who were up on the roof wore safety harnesses. Something that impressed me was how prepared Ipsun was for the inspection process. The process to get the system turned on was also efficient. There is an app that we they give you that allows you to track your production. Ipsun Solar was great to work with.

The Ipsun project managers and workmen were all very professional and polite. They responded to problems quickly and stayed on top of things. I considered many solar companies and am glad I went with Ipsun.

Ipsun Power provided straightforward analysis on the potential for our house to use solar power. In the end, it turned out that solar did not make sense for our house due to a technical difficulty. We received quotes from other companies but Ipsun always provided information and estimates to us that were supported by solid analysis and full disclosure that allowed us to make an informed decision. In the end, the technical issue prevented us from installing solar but we found Ipsun Power to be the most knowledgeable and truthful of all the companies we talked to about solar installation (the other companies ignored the issue). We strongly recommend Ipsun Power.

excellent company From the start Ipsun Power was great to work with. They did a survey of our property and made suggestions, each suggestion was backed with metrics to help us understand the impact of the system size that we were considering. They were VERY responsive in answering any questions that we had and when we needed time to think, they backed off and didn't pressure us. The workers were very professional, clean and quick. My dog Peanut absolutely loved them which was actually cute as they would pet her over the gate each time they passed. Everything about the experience was top notch and I would highly recommend them if you're considering solar.

Ipsun Power has been a great company to work with. They answered all of my questions regarding purchasing a solar system, guiding me through the whole process. The install crew that came to my house was very professional, courteous, and definitely knew what they were doing. Even after the project was complete, they submitted all the paperwork needed for me to receive the Fairfax County tax exemption! Also, Ipsun has a great website where all of my documents, pictures, project schedule, receipts, etc are all in one place, which is a great resource. Plus you get access to a phone app where you can monitor your solar panel performance in real time and trend it over the long term. Overall, I have no regrets with choosing Ipsun Power!

The crew at IPSunpower were great to work with, making the whole process easy. It started when they came out to the house to discuss the project. They started work on a proposal, and came out again to photograph the roof and finalize the design. Gave me a number of options for size and financing, handled all the permits and paperwork, and walked me through the whole procedure. Installation was quick and professional, took about a day and a half. Everyone on their team was friendly and professional. I would recommend them to anyone in the DMV area!

First and foremost, they are THE BEST! I have a large home (over 8,000 square feet). Their pricing and their professionalism are far better than the competition. Ipsun took care of all the permitting details, guided us through the process with Pepco, and made sure we were informed and happy throughout. They also were very accommodating about satisfying the aesthetic requirements imposted by the Historic District that we live in. Our system has been operating beautifully since they installed it a couple months ago. We highly recommend them.

Among several quotes that I received, Ipsun Power stood out as the one provider who was the most responsive. They took the time to answer many questions, including follow-ups, that I had about going solar. Their analysis of my proposed system was extremely thorough, and they were able to provide very comprehensive answers regarding the technical assumptions of the design. Ultimately I decided not to go solar at all due to unrelated financial constraints, but would have chosen Ipsun if circumstances had been different..

It went very smoothly -- install was done on time and at the agreed cost by very competent professionals. We are very pleased with the work, the tax rebate (30% taken in 2016), and with our current electric bill (zero except for $7.00 a month to remain connected to the VA grid (required)). In addition to having an in-home monitoring device, we also get an email each month with the statistics on how much electricity the panels generate.

Herve Billiet, the owner of IPSun Power spent significant personal time with me to describe the squirrel damage, the potential roof leakage from the poor installation, and code violations. After discussion, he offered a very fair quote to address the problems and install screening to keep out the squirrels. His installation crew reworked the entire system in a timely and clearly competent manner. I was entirely satisfied – especially with their persistence in ensuring that the squirrel screening will be effective. My recommendations to anyone owning or considering a solar installation: (1) DO consider squirrel screening if there is any nearby population of squirrels (they are aggressive, persistent, and smart), and (2) confidently enlist IPSun Power to be your installer/support contractor.

We have had a very good experience with the guys from IPSUNpower. We have been looking to install solar panels for years now. As prices of these systems dropped a lot and the output has increased tremendously, we recently started an RFP for a solar system. We received several quotes for a system ranging from 11Kw to 25kW. Although they were not the cheapest, they were by far the most responsive, and through their personalized approach we immediately had a good feeling with the guys from IPSUNpower. While other companies even tried to sell us solar panels on our north-faced roof, the engineer from IPSUNpower immediately found out that our roof was not suitable for solar panels and that our roof would have to be changed soon. Where others would have sold us the system and hammered us with additional costs during installation, the guys from IPSUNpower were upfront. Rare to found such an honest and ethical approach these days. Once our roof is changed, we will definitely go with IPSUNpower.

I had a positive experience with Ipsun. During our first meeting, I worked with Herve to discuss solar installation options that could fit my needs. After the initial planning session, he sent me a portfolio of information that included the estimated costs, savings, and the environmental impact of several of the configurations we discussed. Herve was very responsive and provided detailed answers to my many questions. Although I am not yet ready to install solar, I felt like this was a great introduction to how I can utilize this technology and how to prepare for it.
