My wife and I have been truly impressed with the professionalism embodied by this company. We have hired them exclusively on a recurring basis since March 2009. The owner, Mike, a Master Carpenter, treats the customer's home as if it were his own. He has overseen everything from renovating the kitchen and master bath to repairing our basement following a water leak to painting and maintaining the home's exterior in like new condition. His team exhibits pride in all their work; they arrive on time, always leave the work site in the same shape or better than they found it, and complete projects on schedule and at projected cost. We consider ourselves extremely fortunate to have found a company of this caliber to safeguard the investment in our home and we recommend Homewell General highly.

We have worked with them over the course of nine or ten years, and our experiences have always been great. This time was no exception! They did lots of research and offered several options to us in addition to providing their professional opinion on the best choices. They gave great attention to detail and were very reliable. They did a really good job. The prices were very reasonable, and the work was really solid.

Mike and his crew started on schedule as promised on the contract. I wanted to have environmentally friendly products used in the home so he recommended some great places locally to get the right stuff based on my requirements. For started, I wanted to make sure the hardwood floors are made from environmentally friendly products and did not release any VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) which can be harmful to my health and especially my 6 months old boy. I also wanted a specific custom stain color which he and his crew worked tirelessly to match. The painting also needed to be done by a professional crew to ensure it seals any VOCs from the old paint and to ensure our home is not polluted with harmful VOCs. He recommended a paint which has a very low voc and had wife approve the colors she wanted. In the process of working on the home, Mike discovered that the previous homeowner or builder accidentally punctured the main waste pipe from the upstairs bathroom. It was a mess behind the wall with mold, strong order, etc. If it wasn't for Mike discovering it, I would have never known. He also discovered that some of the duct work in the wall were missing. It seems that some builders try to take short cuts in building a home and don't install any duct work for the returns. Again something that I would not have realized if ever. The basement got flooded after the house was de-winterized prior to putting an offer to buy. When the company did this, the HVAC water-pump failed and flooded the basement. The basement sat like this for over a month and when we went to closing, I went to the house to make sure everything is still fine and discovered the issue in the basement. By that time, being the peak of summer (July-August) mold has already started growing on the walls. Mike brought his crew and they removed all of the dry wall up to three feet from the floor in the infected area and removed the entire carpet in the basement. Outside work involved trim repair due to water damage, fixing cutters, installing solar flood lights and an solar attic fan.
