She was always very quick to respond to our questions. She kept us informed on updates. She really cared about what we wanted. The team finished our kitchen in a short period of time. The quality of the work was fantastic. Always listened to our questions. A very experienced team!! Would hire them again; just a perfect job!! We are so happy with our new kitchen!

Had a great experience working with John, Nate, Crystal, and Ebu. They were responsive and flexible with our project. We knocked out a wall and added a new countertop on another wall and their design wound up looking great. Their price was reasonable and they gave us options within our price range. Would definitely work with Home Design, inc again! Turned our outdated and small kitchen into a beautiful open design!

We used Home Design Inc to renovate our kitchen and dining room in our last house. The house was older and on the smaller side so we had a set budget in mind to ensure return on investment and John and Mark worked with us to make it happen. We ended up selling the home 6 months later and the kitchen and dining room is definitely what sold it! Their team showed up on time every day, performed quality work and completed the job as quickly as they could. We hit a few snags along the way (ending up needing a beam put in and to reroute duct work but they did the best they could to keep the project moving while we were waiting on other contractors. We are planning renovations in our new house and will be reaching out to them to do the work! Before and after pictures attached!

I can’t offer anything but the strongest recommendation for anyone considering working with HomeDesign. My experience with them was nothing short of fantastic. From the moment they walked through my front door to the completion of my basement project, they exceeded my expectations in every possible way. First and foremost, they are incredibly skilled at what they do. As far as I can tell, their work is top-notch, and the quality of their craftsmanship speaks for itself. But beyond just doing great work, they were also some of the most professional and respectful people I’ve had the pleasure of working with. One of the things that stood out the most was how different they were from other contractors I considered. Many other companies I reached out to would send a single commercial representative to take a quick look at the basement and provide a rough estimate, often with the caveat that they’d only come back for a real design and quote once I was ready to commit. HomeDesign didn’t do that. When I opened my front door for their initial visit, I was genuinely surprised to see an entire team standing there. They brought an electrician, a plumber, and a carpenter, all of whom wanted to personally assess the space to ensure that the quote they provided was accurate from the very start. That level of thoroughness and commitment to transparency was incredible and set the tone for the rest of the project. Another huge differentiator was that they were never pushy. Many of the other contractors I spoke with made me feel like I was being pressured into making decisions I wasn’t sure about. I never felt that way with HomeDesign. They listened, they advised, and they worked with me rather than trying to dictate the process. I was recently divorced and handling this project on my own, not entirely sure how I wanted everything to come together. I had some ideas that I thought were decent, but throughout the process, they gently helped refine those ideas, suggesting small but impactful changes that made the design significantly better. Aisha was amazing with design, offering fantastic suggestions that made the space both more functional and aesthetically pleasing. She had a great eye for layout and detail, and her input was invaluable in shaping the final look. Ebu was great at outlining my options and working with his crew to ensure everything went smoothly. He explained things in a way that made sense, which was particularly helpful for me since I didn’t always know the best approach. One of his best suggestions was for my downstairs bathroom—he recommended adding a half-wall about a yard high to separate the shower area from the rest of the space. That simple addition made a huge difference in both the visual appeal and functionality of the bathroom, and I never would have thought of it on my own. Nate was fantastic with communication, always quick to respond to my messages and keeping everything on track. Whenever I had a question or needed an update, I never had to wait long for a clear and helpful response from him. They remained flexible throughout the process, open to making adjustments and tweaks along the way without making me feel like I was inconveniencing them. Every suggestion they made improved the overall result, and their experience really showed in the way they handled every aspect of the project. And on top of all of this—the high-quality work, the friendly and professional team, the thoughtful design recommendations—HomeDesign was by far the most affordable option of all the companies I got quotes from. That was almost shocking to me because, typically, you’d expect the best contractors to be the most expensive, but in this case, they delivered the best work and were the cheapest. Honestly, they were so great to have around that I almost miss them now that they’re gone. They were incredibly polite, kind, and respectful, both to me and to my daughter. It’s rare to find a team that combines skill with that level of warmth and professionalism.

They provide custom guidance for design choices. And every part of the design process is explained and itemized There are no hidden costs. Home Design is reliable, honest, and dependable. 5 star work!

Efficient and clean up after the project finished

HomeDesign did a complete remodel of my condo: kitchen, bathroom, and living areas. Including cabinetry, flooring, and countertops. They were accommodating to my schedule. My renovated condo now looks like a brand new place.

HomeDesign did an excellent job with transforming our dated kitchen into a bright, modern space. They were very responsive to our questions when planning our remodel and flexible with our schedule for starting the work. They even got the whole project done a week sooner than expected. Their price was very reasonable for this area and they didn't try to sell us unnecessary upsells like some of the other contractors we contacted. 

Home Design did an incredible job on our kitchen renovation, which included demolishing a wall that separated our old kitchen from the living/dining rooms to make an open concept floor plan. They were competitive with their pricing, as well as honest, reliable, and patient with our questions. The fact that they left the worksite clean and tidy each day was an added bonus. John and his team were quick to provide solutions to various problems that arose, such as re-working the scope of work to install a beam in place of the load-bearing wall. Also, due to COVID-19, one of our cabinet manufacturers unexpectedly went out of business, leaving us without cabinets for our kitchen island in the middle of the project. Home Design provided us with various options so that we could have a completed kitchen. We were extremely happy with the finished product and would highly recommend them.

We recently worked with Home Design to completely remodel our kitchen and highly recommend their work. We found Home Design after researching reputable kitchen remodelers on several websites. When we first contacted them, John reached out promptly to set up a visit to our home for an initial consultation. During the consultation, he offered several ideas for how we could restructure and reorganize our outdated kitchen. From there, we worked with Home Design to design a completely restructured kitchen area. It was a large project, requiring a full-scale demolition, entirely new cabinets and countertops, new appliances, new flooring, adding a gas line for a gas range, and electrical work. John and Marcus offered an initial design, and they were very responsive when we spent several weeks going back and forth adjusting the design, moving appliances, etc. They worked with us to craft a design we were very happy with and implemented our requested changes well throughout the design process. They offered a very competitive price that respected the original budget we discussed with them. We started demolition on our old kitchen right as the COVID-19 pandemic was picking up steam in the Washington metro area, and after demolition was complete we asked Home Design to pause the project for several months because we were not comfortable having contractors in our home. John and team were supportive of this decision; over the next three months, they reached out periodically to see if our calculus had changed, offering ideas for safety measures we could implement, but never pressuring us to make a decision we were uncomfortable with. When Virginia moved to a phased reopening in June, we were excited to get back to work with them. It took their crew about three weeks to complete the project from there. We found overall communication before and during the project to be good. Our main contractor on-site, Eddy, was great at communicating what supplies we needed to provide and asking questions to make sure the work was exactly as we wanted it. We absolutely love the final results. John and Marcus recommended a gorgeous line of white cabinets, and we chose a beautiful quartz from their showroom, which has a great selection. Their crew ably installed all the features of the kitchen: recessed lighting, pendant lighting, under-cabinet lighting, sink and faucet, appliances, and cabinet hardware. Overall, we highly recommend Home Design and are so thrilled with the results of our kitchen remodel. We look forward to working with them on future projects!

We had a complete kitchen renovation because of a leak we had in our dishwasher that caused major issues. We were referred to Home Design Inc and could not be happier. They were super responsive, attentive, and easy to communicate during the entire process. They also were very knowledgeable on topics that we didn't know much about because this is our first home renovation. Because of COVID-19, the situation was extra stressful, and they helped make the renovation go as smoothly as happening. Highly recommend!

We recently completed a complete renovation of our kitchen including the demolition of our pantry to open up the space, as well as three bathrooms. We could not be happier with the results. The design and subsequent modifications were all completed as desired. The crew's effort, quality, and diligence were exceptional. As we explained to John and 'E,' our only frustration (and most projects generally bring many), was that communication sometimes fell short between those two gentlemen as well as with the crew when there were changes. That said, we will certainly go back to them for future projects. None of us are perfect, and they were all honest and dependable.

The entire team is INCREDIBLE! John, Marcus, Baat, everyone! They are uber responsive to all questions we had. We did not even bother getting a quote from anywhere else because they are super reasonably priced and have the expertise to back it up. Their quote included cabinets, granite and sink (who does that?!). We loved and trusted all of the suggestions John and Baat had. They finished our entire kitchen in less than 2 weeks and now we are wanting them to do even more projects in our home. The visual kitchen layout sketch they provided was the most helpful thing for us and the team followed that to a T. They were also flexible with any changes or additions we had along the way making the entire experience stress-free. I honestly enjoyed having Baat and his guys in my home doing the renovations. They were light hearted and kind. I HIGHLY recommend HomeDesign Inc.! I have fallen in love with my home and you will too!

Our kitchen turned out better than we imagined. The crew was very professional, always on time and they finished the project ahead of schedule. John, the owner was frequently on site and was always accommodating with small changes that needed to be made. Their pricing was very competitive and I would recommend this company.

Contractors are very experienced and up to standards on jobs. Whenever you have issues, John and Mr. E will get back to you promptly to resolve. I have my three bathrooms and four bedrooms recently remodeled by Home Design Inc. and I'm very impressed the quality work the contractors provided and outstanding outcome.
