We are very pleased. John, Ebu, Eric and all the guys on their team are real pros from start to finish. In just three days our new quartz countertops and backsplash were installed and finished flawlessly The single seam is perfectly smooth and tight, almost impossible to discern. The marble subway tile backsplash was installed exactly as I wanted and looks beautiful. Their price is fair and they deliver all they promise. These guys come on time, work cleanly, take care to generate minimal dust, are cooperative and polite. They leave the project site cleaned up every day. This kind of professional behavior -from everyone on their team - is rare these days! We have gotten many compliments on these improvements and we highly recommend HOME DESIGN INC. We will use them again soon to update our master bath.

Such an amazing remodel experience! Our condo kitchen renovation was completed in a week and looks amazing. Home Design was incredibly responsive and made the remodel process stress-free. We will definitely be using them again for our future remodel projects!

I feel so lucky that I found Home Design Inc. I have a townhouse with very bad condition, there are problems everywhere. I hired Home Design since the company has great reviews and offered a great price compared to other contractors. I'm happy that I made the best decision: They have done a great job fixing up the house, they take care of every problems, and they did it very fast. Now my property looks gorgeous! Home Design Inc. is unbeatable on price and quality of service.

John will get your counters much quicker and cheaper than the contractors for the big box stores. He also has good deals on real wood cabinets. I should have used his cabinets too! John helped fit the largest sink possible into the sink cabinet, so I have a really wide sink in a 30" sink base - that is AWESOME. Also when I mistakenly misunderstood something the installers said and was concerned about a support for the counter, John came out the next day and looked at it and explained that everything was OK. I was pretty upset and he responded to my concern quickly.

It was an excellent experience! John was very responsive throughout the bidding, sales, and all the way through to installation. He was very professional, easy to work with, and very accommodating. His team was outstanding. I have no complaints and would highly recommend this group. I had no prior experience with him or his firm and was somewhat apprehensive. However, all my concerns were erased. The job is outstanding. He's also a very personable and I would definitely use this company again or recommend him to others.

Everyone we interacted with at Home Design, Inc. was professional, helpful, accommodating, and punctual. We hired Home Design for a Kitchen Remodeling project and we are extremely pleased with the final product. Prior to beginning the project, John, met with us to go over the contract and the materials needed. John offered amazing discounts on many aspects of the project. Once the remodeling began, the workers arrived on time, made minimal mess and completed the job in one week. We were impressed with the overall efficiency of the company, and how the project was completed in a timely manner. Our new kitchen is beautiful, as they did a superb job. This is our first time working with Home Design, Inc. but we are planning to hire them again immediately for another home project, as we need more remodeling done. We highly recommend this company!

Always late to start the work from their proposed time windows, i.e. said they'd arrive between 7am-8am and would arrive well after 8am, even if we were the first stop of the day, claiming they were busy finishing 2 other bigger jobs close to the Xmas holiday. The job took 5 days after it was estimated to take 1.5 days . After installation, 1 sink piping leaked twice, 1 sink piping leaked once, so we needed three return visits after the job was done, one of which the contractor dug in its heels to fix it on time, though they did fix them gratis as they should have - they chose cheap plumbing hardware and may not have been installed correctly. A light fixture they installed starting falling off the wall after a month, so we hired a separate handyman to install it correctly because we could no longer rely on them after their lack of punctuality. Lastly, one of the paint jobs was uneven. Not sure how they earned a service award. This company is the reason why I no longer want to use Angie's List after they previously received multiple A ratings before we hired them. While they quoted the lowest price of three estimates received, we wound up paying a higher price with our time and lower quality of work received from Home Design.

The job went extremely well.   The owner John was very responsive to our needs and work with us to make last minute changes to the original design without any complaint or price increase.   The workers were pleasant and followed any and all instructions and changes I requested as they worked.   The granite counter top and vanity that was part of the deal was more than we expected in size and value.   We have a garden tub that was in great shape and was keeping that in the bathroom remodel.   One of the workers even offered to help me remove the old faucet from the tub, which was an out dated gold one.
A week after the work was completed, we noticed a leak in our dining room and we thought it was from the bathroom remodel.  We contacted the vendor and he had a crew to the house within hours.   They checked and open the dining room ceiling and it was determined that the problem was from a leak from the attic AC unit.    We had an HVAC company fix the AC and requested the bathroom vendor to make repairs to the dry wall in the dining room and a separate bathroom that was damage from the AC leak.   
Without hesitation, the vendor agreed to make the repairs for us and gave us a huge discount on the cost.   These repairs had nothing to do with their bathroom remodel, but the vendor was still will to support us with the necessary repairs.
John the owner was more that willing to work with us on scheduling and doing the repairs that were above and beyond the initial bathroom remodel.  
I would fully recommend John's company to do any work.   Take the opportunity to contact him for a free estimate, you will not be disappointed.

The only reason a I gave a B here was because there was miscommunication on what could be done in the hours .  I was led to believe the walls would be plastered as well but it only included wall installation.  The worker was on time and professional.  Also, I don't believe the walls were isntalled with wood nails (glue) which is preferred to ensure nails and screws don't start to extend over a long period of time.  I just adjusted by adding more screws.  Good overall contractor.

The contractor was very good at communicating, punctual, fulfilled everything he promised on time, did a beautiful job and was fair with the price

 My husband and I were pleased with the professional service provided by this family owned company. The communication by phone and email were courteous and friendly.  We weren't sure what all had to be done to get our sink back in order. We were looking for someone who could do both things we needed done and fast.  Our kitchen faucet was leaking and needed to be replaced.  Worse was that our sink had dropped completely away from the counter.  John educated and guided us with what they could do to fix our problems without pressuring us into spending more than we needed to.  They made time to come out and evaluate the problems we were having.  The service was prompt and efficient. My family was able to move about while they worked without worrying about getting in their way. They took their time reinstalling our sink to make sure we don't have this problem develop again.   We liked what they did in regards to the repair and the new look our faucet gave to our kitchen.  Everything is back in order and clean.  Thanks for taking care of our needs.  We will definitely share your business card with our military friends that move into the area.

We found HomeDesign through Home Advisor's online appointment tool when looking for granite countertops and a small kitchen remodel.  HomeDesign was the first appointment we had scheduled, and after meeting with them we cancelled the rest.  This was a great decision.  

They came very well prepared with granite samples and very good suggestions on a backsplash and paint.  They also came in with a very reasonable price quotation.  We were also able to visit the showroom in Lorton and pick out the very slab of granite we wanted.  

Scheduling the work was easy, and they were flexible when we had a last minute change that meant we couldn't do the work that day.  HomeDesign's crews were quick, efficient, and very professional.  Our small remodel (countertops, backsplash, and paint) was completed over the span of 2 afternoons and we were left with an awesome looking kitchen that probably adds twice as much value to the house than what we paid for the remodel.  We are also left with a network of painters/decorators and plumbers that we will definitely use in the future.  

To sum up, we had a great experience with HomeDesign.  We have a professional looking kitchen at a price that I would be very surprised if anyone else could match.

They were punctual, professional and clean. They showed up when they were scheduled and finished when they said they would. They did a beautiful job. We have recommended them to several people including family. They used them as well and were equally impressed. We would use them again and highly recommend them.

I had a small laundry room, which I converted to a dual purpose room--Laundry and Office with ceiling-height cabinets and L-shaped  marble desk for a computer. The work also required removing a closet to create a space for the desk, drywalls, painting, installing cabinets, etc. I hired Home Design since their price was affordable and they could complete within my proposed timeframe.
The owner measured my space and helped me select and purchase cabinet from IKEA.Before installing the cabinet, they custom made and installed a beautiful L-shaped desk for my computer, etc.IKEA cabinets were built and installed in no-time.
Since I purchased white cabinets, my previously seemed to be small laundry room is now a beautiful, spacious laundry/office area  that serves multiple purposes. Thank you, Home Design!
