I was helping with the retirement of one of our own and had the responsibility for getting the shadowbox.  I had little in the way of preferences from the honoree or his family but I knew what items they wanted included.  I went to Framemasters and told them what I needed.  I was looking for something classy that would complement array of tastes in style.  Sherry worked with me for framing options to show the recipient and some layouts for the contents.  The end product was beautiful and very well-received by our retiree and his family.
I also want to note that during their construction time, the DC area had a blizzard that dump a couple of feet of snow in most areas, and they still completed it on time!  Also, there was a little-known military item that was upside down, which was pointed out by one of the attendees.  They happily fixed it at no additional cost and got it back to me in a few days.
Everyone there was very professional, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with.  I highly recommend for any framing projects, not just shadowboxes.

It went very well. We had a large numbered print matted and framed. We wanted special matting done and the gentleman that helped us was very knowledgeable and professional. He knew the stock perfectly. He made good recommendations and spent quite a bit of time finding just what we wanted. The finished picture came out even better than we expected.
The other picture was a smaller numbered print. He worked that picture in the same way until we found what we wanted.
We are very happy with both pictures and we would definitely use them again.

FrameMasters is the real deal. Their quality and service are fantastic and their pricing cannot be beat! I owned a frame shop for years as part of an art gallery and I cannot recommend FrameMasters enough. We even used to have them handle some big framing jobs for us during the busy seasons. Top quality.

Now that I no longer have the frame shop, everything I need framed, I take to FrameMasters.

I am a medical provider and have 30+ years of dealing with various framing companies.  In short, they were the best by far.  Price--you get more than paid for.  Quality--art worthy. Timeliness--one day early.  I plan to go back--and recommend them highly.

Mounted and framed a diploma.

This is actually the second job that FrameMasters has done for me.  The first job, done in June 2013, at a cost of $200, involved framing a certificate and accompanying medal.  We were limited by wall space, so it had to be small enough to fit the space without crowding the contents.  They did a perfect job with mat color and the frame is so perfectly cut and joined, you'd think it was one continuous piece of wood!  The frame restoration job was a little different.  FrameMasters does not do the restoration themselves.  They sub it out to a restoration expert.  My mother had been told years ago NOT to have the frame repaired because it would damage its value.  Not so.  Although there was a considerable delay due to illness of the restorer, the wait was worth it.  You cannot tell the frame was ever damaged!  She made a perfect repair, a perfect match of the base color, and perfect match of the gold accent.  FrameMasters is a fairly small shop in an industrial area that has an extensive selection of frame choices.  All varieties of woods and various other components from traditional to contemporary.  You can choose from an extensive color selection and even an extensive range of prices.  You will get excellent advice on how to properly frame whatever your project requires.  They also have bins of ready-made frames in a wide selection of styles at bargain prices.  FrameMasters has been in business a long time and I'm just disappointed I didn't know about them sooner.  I will never take my framing to anyone else.  In fact, I am in need of a custom-made mirror for my powder room and FrameMasters is doing that job, too.

I knew I wanted a floating frame, Frame Masters suggested different colored framing material. While reviewing framing materials they noticed some a little spot of acrylic paint had worn off. Frame Masters touched up the art work with just the right shade before I picked it up.
I also asked them to attach wire so I could hang it either vertically or horizontally.
I am happy with Frame Masters.

They were so busy, it took over an hour for anyone to have time to put an estimate together for me.  The quality of the framing is excellent.  They did a great job and were very personable once I was actually able to talk to someone.  It was just a long wait in a small space on a weekend.  It also took awhile to get the framed item finished, but it was finished within the guaranteed time.  The drawing was not that big, and neither the frame not the matting are fancy, so I thought over $200 to get it framed was a bit outrageous, but they deserve the excellent reviews they get on Angie's list in terms of quality and workmanship.  I would use them again just because I know they do a good job.

Shop always does a beautiful job. They have a wide selection of frames and I have found them to be better priced than other frame shops. When I am there, there are often artists getting a large number of works framed.

They did a very nice job.  Sherry spent a great deal of time with me, going through many different frames and mattings until I was satisfied that I had exactly what I wanted, and it turned out so beautifully.

Always take your work with you that you want to have framed.

When I first went in, they were friendly and welcoming.  They were very helpful in finding a frame the was the color I wanted and that would hold the flag with an inscription inside the shadowbox frame.  They even called back to ensure they had the instructions correct.   The framed flag was ready when they said it would be and it was exactly what we wanted.

I had a large sized weaving from Peru that I wasn't sure on how best to frame.  Framemasters had good advice on style and executed brilliantly.  I love what they did and happily display it in my home.  I used to work in galleries and tend to be picky when it comes to quality framing and this company delivered.

I was looking for framing for a print that is a wedding gift for my daughter. I found Frame Masters here on Angie's List. I got 10% off for being a new AL customer on top of the best prices I have found for top quality framing. I entered their Fairfax shop to find the best selection of frames I have seen. The service was impeccable and friendly. I got great recommedations from Shirley (who was very knowledgable) and picked the frame and mat quickly. It was done in far less than the 10 days allowed and looks simply awesome. I will definately use Frame Masters again and recommend them to anyone.

My husband and I recently returned from a trip to India and Nepal. While we were in Nepal we acquired a beautiful Buddhist Mandala painting. After reading the wonderful reviews on Angie's List we decided to take the painting to Frame Masters for an estimate on framing. 

Frame Masters has a very large selection of frames to choose from. We were delighted to find a frame that had detailing that we saw in architecture throughout India and Nepal. After a meeting with one of Frame Master's framers we were sure that we had the correct frame and matting. The price was very good considering the quality of the frame and service.

The associate at Frame Master's gave us a estimated date that they would have the order ready. I got a call two days prior to the date to let me know that they had completed the order ahead of schedule. I went to pick it up right away. When they unwrapped the framed painting I was awestruck; it was just beautiful! If that was not enough the associate carried the painting to my car to help me load and secure it. 

We will be going to Frame Masters for all of our framing needs in the future. Thank you for such high quality service!

the frames are absolutely beautiful--the mat perfectly matches the color of the blueprints...the glass is so clear and doesn't reflect that you can barely tell its there. $700 bucks is expernsive--but for how big they were, and what they required (and the type of wood the frame was and glass) it was VERY reasonable. we could have gone to ACMOORE and gotten a similar estimate for not nearly the same quality. the customer service was top notch--he helped but it in the car and even helped us pack it in with bubble paper so it wouldn't break the glass (even though we were only a few miles from home). wonderful experience--i would recommend using them to anyone. AND they honored the angie's list discount.

The job went great. The guys I worked with were very good guy. They new their information, and gave great recommendations for the frames. I am very happy with the finish project.

I am very happy with them. They do good quality work. It is a relative reasonable price compared to other places.
