Mr. Richards reviewed our mortgage situation, which required him to sift through a number of files that we brought.  You could instantly tell that this was a consummate professional, as he quickly deciphered very complicated documents and was able to explain them.   He outlined our financial options, and also recommended other professionals that could assist us.   For example, we may need to engage a lawyer, and he told us what to look for in addition to giving us a referral.   We also may need to engage a real estate professional to sell property, and he was able to provide useful information in finding a person to help us as suited to our needs.  
Mr. Richards exceeded my expectations of a financial planner and I highly recommend him.

I have been using Jeff Richards for the last 18 years -- no kidding! I found them as a first time home buyer back in the early 90's and he was extremely helpful in helping us purchase our first home. Always finding us the best program with the best rates, low closing costs, and generally very trustworthy and honest.
Since then, I have refinanced with Jeff and his team for probably a dozen or more times and always a pleasant experience. His staff has remained the same over the years, so they really know their customers and it makes the process so much simpler. This recent house purchase in Springfield was no different -- I contacted the Richards team just before writing up the contract and the loan was approved in about 5 days. I was also pleasantly surprised when he locked me in to a rate mid-week when it he noticed a blip in the interest rate, and it saved me thousand of dollars.
I did shop around with other lenders and it was just not the same -- not to mention higher rates and much higher closing costs. I have never met his team but after all these years, feel like I know all of them by first name. Their staff is top notched and is always on top of things -- no wonder they were recently voted as on of the best places to work.
