First Heritgage Mortgage, LLC

First Heritage was our lender for the purchase of our house.  We chose First Heritage originally because they were the only company to offer a loan that met our financial needs (i.e., low interest rate, no points, 1 time MI). After we locked our rate, the quality of service dramatically declined.  They failed to communicate effectively internally and consequently, asked us to submit the same documents multiple times. Additionally, our real estate agent had to follow up with them repeatedly to confirm the appraisal was scheduled. They also requested tax transcripts for us and wrote in the wrong social security number in the form.  As a result, we had to give our CPA power of attorney to get the documents from the IRS and send them to First Heritage.  There were also multiple errors in our loan application and closing documents.  Specifically, they misspelled the home address, which required us to resign all the closing paperwork a second time.  Also, the GFE provided by First Heritage was significantly higher (i.e., $10,000) than the HUD 1 form.  However, First Heritage did send a loan officer to our closing, which was helpful in correcting these issues as quickly as possible.  Overall, we would not recommend using First Heritage.
