We were pleased with them. We completely redid our master bath last summer. There had been mold which a previous contractor failed to remedy. Sena was our designer and she was knowledgeable and easy to work with. Chris was the project manager and he was a pleasure to work with. The crew always showed up on time and worked hard. With any major remodel, there will always be a few issues. Chris and Sena were available and saw to it that every issue was addressed and that we were satisfied. When a kitchen appliance broke that was integral to the entire functional and aesthetic design of the kitchen, we did not hesitate to call Sena and Chris again and we are still happy.

We are very pleased with the work and the professionalism this company shows. We had prior experience with a kitchen remodel from another company (still having problems with the kitchen) and we are so glad we went with Fairfax Kitchen Bath for our bathroom! Fron day one, Russ Troxel, designed our remodel - he has so much knowledge of companies and hands-on experience - he is like an encyclopedia for renovations. Chris Klene, the project manager, could not have been more courteous and kept tabs on the work being completed (correctly). Not to worry, though with the team of Alfredo Chicas and Francisco. Alfredo, another encyclopedia of knowledge and years of experience, he was so insistent on attention-to-detail and the final bathroom being one that you could not find fault with and with Francisco's work ethic - not a minute was wasted! We have two other bathrooms that need renovation and we will definitely stick with Fairfax Kitchen Bath. Their whole team is knowledgeable, helpful, patient, and take pride in delivering a superior outcome.

I wish that I could recommend this remodeling business, but unfortunately I can't. I rely on reviews when considering contractors, so I feel like I need to share my dissatisfaction so others can make informed decisions. I went through way too much stress with what should have been a fairly simple bathroom remodel. All of the work was done by subcontractors. What I will say is that the project manager, Chris, is very personable and responsive, but unfortunately, at the end of the day, the quality of work, miscommunication, and lack of cleanliness turned this project into a huge headache.

Having two small children, we were worried about there being a major disruption. Miraculously, everything went as smoothly as could be expected. Sena, the designer, was great at pulling in our vision. We did hit a snafu, however, when the wrong granite was installed. The company quickly worked to make it right, and while it wasn't what we chose, we do like it. The project manager, Chris, was very communicative and responsive, and really helped explain the timeline and process. All of the contractors were also very nice. Even with the granite mishap, I would still recommend the company to anyone looking to remodel their kitchen. Our space was truly transformed and we love it.

This is an update to original review of "B." After the test of time, the shoddy workmanship started to show up. Thought it was worth updating, as we were contacted about a year after the work was done. When we let them know of some of the issues, it appears they were only looking for positive feedback, and not interested in critical issues. After a year or so, the kitchen floor is uneven with some of corners or edges of the tiles exposed. Where the tile meets the family room carpet was a piece of plastic that seemed to be glued and nailed loosely and is now loose. Much of the trim was loosely glued and is coming undone. The granite countertop has at least 2 spots where there is a crack/divot and no longer smooth. The lights under the cabinets also glued on and one of them flickers. There are many imperfections, but really the worst is the floor that really will need to be re-done.

I’ve been dealing with his for about 6 weeks. Special order cabinets have to be made. I know it (quality) will be an A, even though I haven’t seen them yet, because I know the cabinets. The fact that we originally thought I couldn’t see them until September, I’d say an A (for responsiveness). If I needed anything else, yes I would use the provider again, hopefully I shouldn’t, I’ve basically redone every room in this house.

After careful consideration, we went with Fairfax Kitchen Bath Remodeling. They came up with a very good cost effective plan. They suggested to keep the flooring as is, since it was replaced couple years ago by the previous owner. Floor tile was in good shape and we loved that idea. That money saver enabled us to buy a new backsplash tile! Kitchen cabinets were stock line, they are all solid wood cabinets. Drawers are soft close. The counter tops were cleaned and sealed. They used Kohler products as we requested. All of the kitchen area walls were painted a ssemi-glosseggshell white. The whole kitchen looked fantastic!! Go with FKB, they have great ideas and a very professional work ethic!!

There were over 25 different workers used on my remodel. Three sets of different electricians,plumbers and painters. I rarely saw the same worker twice. As a result there was not much coordination of the project. I never knew who was coming or when. No one took responsibility for errors it was always the other crew. Nothing was covered for the first week leaving me with a big mess at the end of the job. They did not clean up at the end of the day. They had problems understanding the installation of my dishwasher and range. I had to read the installation manuals to get them to do it correctly. They had the dishwasher setting out blocking a drawer opening. I was told if it was a problem just buy another dishwasher. After complaining about this treatment they pulled out the dishwasher and discovered a hose was installed incorrectly and that was why it was setting out. These are a few of the problems I had. I still have cabinets that do not close properly and I know future issues will not be addressed after this huge expense I will have no guantee on the work. I normally do not write reviews unless they are positive. I think it is wise to advise others to think twice about this company. I picked them from Angie's list and it was a very disappointing experience.

Baha, Sean, Sam, and Rafael made the process extremely easy and gave us trust and assurance every step of the way. We asked five different contractors for quotes and design options and Fairfax Kitchen Bath worked with us to meet our needs, rather than pushing a more costly renovation. Baha listened carefully to all of our requirements, added his recommendations based on years of experience, and the finished product speaks to the high quality of their work from start to finish. The team did an excellent job keeping us informed and their attention to detail made it easier for us to make sure the job was done right. Their showroom has a comprehensive selection and we had no problems picking each piece. We highly recommend Fairfax Kitchen Bath and plan to use them for our next bathroom and eventually kitchen remodeling projects.

The end result of this project is fabulous, though not without a few bumps along the way. We have a beautiful new kitchen with new cabinets, granite counters, lighting, new ceramic tile floor, and tile back splash. The design help was wonderful. I really like that they have the software that allows a 3-D image of the proposed work. I was happy to see detailed blueprints of our project. I liked knowing that we were all on the same page in terms of the plan. We also had flooring removed in two rooms and wood floor laid that matches the wood floor already installed in an adjoining hallway. They did a great job of adding the new wood so that it is indecipherable from the original. It matches exactly and was perfectly integrated. You would never know where the original stopped and the new begins. We also had them replace a lot of old plumbing pipes that had been part of a big class action suit 16 years ago. In spite of the added plumbing work, the remodel work was done in a timely manner and would have met the roughly 4 week deadline if it had not been for a snag, no fault of FFX Kitchen Bath, with the new stove I ordered from Lowe's. They painted all the walls and ceilings in the kitchen/dining area/family room. This past January we noticed that one of the cabinet doors was developing some hairline cracks. Tony responded immediately and the door was replaced ASAP. I was completely pleased with his energetic and responsible customer service. The bumps I referred to earlier can be traced to a certain lack of communication between the site foreman and us. I often felt that information about a schedule of events and deviations from the stated order of events was not forthcoming. We were also not always notified to not expect workers on a certain day, causing us to wait around until mid morning until finally calling our project manager to be told no one was coming that day. For future projects I would suggest a more proactive system of communication with the homeowner. Overall, Fairfax Kitchen Bath did a great job for us. They were pleasant and polite. They did a great job of cleaning up the work area on a daily basis.

Fairfax Kitchen and Bath is one of the most professional, customer service oriented companies we have dealt with in quite some time. Often times, the salesman promises great things and then once you sign a contract you never see him again. That is not the case with this company. The person who first greeted me at Fairfax Kitchen and Bath, Dwain, prepared the cost estimate after seeing my bathroom, and was my main contact throughout the entire process. They started exactly when they said they would and finished on schedule. They promised no subcontractors and other than the counter top installer (which I understood why) , basically, it was the same two individuals at my house each day, a supervisor who came by daily, and Dwain who was there several times, including the last day to ensure we were satisfied with the quality of the work. The whole crew was very professional, clean, polite, and punctual. There was one issue after they left that I made Dwain aware of and he had the same two guys back at our house within 24 hours of my communication to remedy the issue.
In addition to the exceptional customer service experience, our bathroom looks great!
I would highly recommend this company for a bathroom renovation.

My wife and I are empty nesters now, so we decided to add one of the four bedrooms into the master bedroom. We had some companies bid on the job and picked Fairfax Kitchen and Bath. The first meeting went well. The first look was at the combination of one of the bedrooms into the master bedroom. A solid idea and plan was reached and we moved on to the kitchen. Our contact took some measurements and then we looked at paint and tile samples. In the next week, we had meeting number two. A presentation was put together very professionally of our remodel! We watched on the tv how the bedrooms would be joined together and how the master bath would be expanded. Part two of the presentation was the kitchen remodel. The whole space was reconfigured! The dishwasher was moved next to the sink and refrigerator was moved closer to the stove. A counter top was to be custom made to wrap around at the end to form a breakfast bar! After a few moments of catching our breath, we set the date for work to begin in three weeks. We had booked a little vacation for the same time period as the remodel, so off we went! Every three days I would check in with the contractor to get updates. Things were going along very smoothly. By the end of the third week we were heading back home. The contractor was waiting for us in the driveway. He opened the front door for us and there we were!! Our brand new master bedroom suite was incredible! The original master bath was expanded to include a new shower and tub combination and new dual sink. The fresh paint and new matching floor and wall tiles was great. They had also opened up the wall that divided the bedrooms and gave us a spacious suite with sitting area. the extra door was removed and filled in. It was like a room in a five star hotel! We then were lerd to the kitchen. The work was very professional! It was slightly reconfigured with the flow making more sense! With the dishwasher relocated, it gave room for the counter top to curve around into a large breakfast bar. We could cook and entertain family and friends as never before. Call Fairfax Kitchen and Bath, and set up a meeting for your remodel!!!!

After a careful review of references, we signed a contract with Fairfax Kitchen and Bath. The work began the next month. First the demolition was started. The whole kitchen was emptied and prepared for painting. After the painting was done, the new wood floor was installed. The new cabinets and and counter-tops were put in and the upper cabinets were attached up on the walls. Our new appliances were installed and in just over 4 days, a beautiful and very professional job was completed!! We are thrilled with the remodeling and will highly recommend!

This job went on without a hitch! We had come in to do the work. They came in two weeks after our meeting and took care of business. They removed the tub and the tiles from the walls and floor. They installed the new shower and enclosure. Shower head was the type that rained on you! After that they were done for the day.The next day they put up the new tiles on the walls and installed a sun lamp with timer switch. The tile floor was layed down and our master bath was finished! My neighbors were very excited about our remodel. We are pretty sure they will be calling, also!! Great Job!

We are very happy that did our kitchen remodel! We had 3 bids in and finally chose. Not because they had the lowest bid either, It was the flexibility and extra work that was included! The plan was confirmed and work was started the next week. The crew arrived at 7am and started the demolition. By the end of the day the debris was cleared out and a new exterior wall was built and new sliding door was installed. The next couple of days included replacing the lighting and relocating the electrical wiring and outlets. Next the old carpet was removed from the rest of the first floor. The wood flooring was installed in the kitchen first and progressed through the family room and into the dining room. While the floor was being installed in the rest of the house. the island/breakfast bar was installed. Next the install kitchen cabinets and granite counter tops went in. At this point things were looking fantastic throughout the house!! At the beginning of the next week, the appliances were installed and all painting was done! Our house was looking like a palace!! Everything was well done and on budget in only two weeks! My friends are all very impressed with the remodel! I am recommending to everyone I know!!

Signed up for the Angie's List special for a kitchen design consultation. The consultation went well. I had certain ideas of how I wanted to change the layout of the kitchen and the 3-D drawings let me see how it would look. I found that very helpful. I also received a scope of work and estimate. This is the first estimate I've gotten so it's hard to say how the price compares with other companies. But it didn't seem out of line.
