DAVINCI CONSTRUCTION

Davinci started in Jan 07 and finished Oct 30th 2007. They were suppose to start sooner (November 2006) and do the job within five months. Davinci needs to replace a window that their sub broke, screens, and suppose to fix the bounce on the main floor which I have in writing from them. We still have our temporary pole up. I haven't heard from them and their phone number has been disconnected as well. DON'T WORK with Joseph Hwang or BJ (bong-joon) owner even if start another company. When you sign a contract, interview the project manager and get their references from other jobs.

Overall, we are satisfied with Davinci's work. Foundation and framing, plumbing, exterior work (roofing) was done without any concerns. Interior work such as electric, millwork, painting, hardwood floors, was less than satisfactory. The project wrapped in December as of mid-March, we had to outsource the built in cabinets; we are waiting for them to repair the French doors; repair paint; re sand and re-apply stain to hardwood floors; repair electrical problems; and replace 2 visibly crooked front steps; pergola and patio as well as installation of functional carriage doors on the garage are also pending. As of 3 weeks ago Davinci decided to not finish the project or the punch list (estimated work to be done or repaired is coming in at $25-$32K) because we wanted things "too nice."
