CLI PAINTING & HOME IMPROVEMENT

We had just moved into a new house and had to repaint some walls that ... achem... were not to our liking. I was fully prepared to go with the bigger company, but they were much more expensive and could not start for several weeks. While we were picking out colors at the Benjamin Moore store, I asked the owners for several recommendations. They gave me Craig's card. I called him that day and he came out shortly after to give a quote. He broke down the work piece by piece and offered me a discount if they could start the same week since he had an opening in his schedule.

The crew started early and were waiting patiently outside (it was 7 am). This was great for us since we get up early anyway. They started immediately and worked efficient Thursday, Friday, and Monday. We had some difficult walls to cover, but two coats of good quality paint did the trick. Where necessary they sanded, where necessary they touched up, etc.

Overall we are pleased. Their work made the new house ours. They worked hard, did good work, were respectful, were responsive to minor changes, and handled themselves professionally. We anticipate doing some more work next year and we will definitely call Craig and CLI.

CLI painted several rooms in our house and did an excellent job not only painting but also advising on our choice of colors. They are an excellent service provider that we will not hesitate to use in the future.

The exterior was first prepared for painting, including power washing. The exterior was then painted. Work was interrupted several times due to rain and extremely hot weather. The painters were polite and professional and did an excellent job.

Very professional workers, great quality of the job. We expressed some mild concerns early in the job that were promptly addressed and monitored throughout the rest of the job. Though the initial estimate was for the job to take about 6 days, it ended up taking more like 20, but that was probably because Craig knew it wasn't a huge problem for us because we hadn't yet moved in (it did lead to some overlap with some other contractors, who CLI cheerfully worked around, and did actually extend to the very last minute, move-in day itself). They were happy to do little things (like some drywall repairs and taking down some blinds we couldn't reach) that weren't technically part of the job without nickel and diming us. They even threw in painting a door. Would definitely recommend CLI and use them again.

Excellent! All the rooms look great! Craig and the rest of the CLI staff were very polite and punctual. CLI was able to schedule the work quickly and completed the job on time. CLI did a much better job with drywall repair and door installation than Mr. Handyman at a fraction of the cost. For the moulding, Craig made suggestions on materials to ensure best results. I will definitely look to use CLI for future painting projects.

Craig's estimate was the best of the three we obtained. The CLI painters did a great job with prepping the surfaces, caulking and painting. They arrived promptly every day, they were pleasant to deal with, and they cleaned up each afternoon. There were no hidden costs or surprises during the job. In fact, they provided the white paint for our deck supports at no extra charge because we forgot to get it ourselves. We are very pleased with CLI's work and will definitely recommend them for exterior or interior painting projects.
