Perfect...outstanding...brilliant! I told Circle that they will get all my business for all of my autos...they are my auto shop for life!

Took our well-loved but high mileage diesel VW Passat to the dealer for some work (timing belt, brakes) and was told that it wasn't even worth spending the money on it, especially since we would need to replace the electronic harness at $2400 and total estimate was about $6000 to get it where it needed to be. Very frustrated but not giving up, we took it to Circle Auto. Jeff spent a while diagnosing and explaining to me, all at no charge, then made a recommendation to do some work but not the harness. Went ahead with his suggestion and for less than half the original dealer quote, we have our car back and running again. Really appreciate the time he and Michael took to explain and Michael even found a trim part at very low cost to replace a cosmetic defect which we hadn't planned on doing. After a week, jeff called again to see if met our expectations. I highly recommend them!

ring pumI had searched a long time before finding Circle Auto Repair. They have proven time, and time again that they are the mechanics for me. Not only do they do a great job, they are honest to a fault. I have had very bad experiences elsewhere. I dropped my car off (in the evening) to get an oil change State Inspection , and other maintenance and to see why it would "gallop" down the road whenever I gave it gas. The service manager called me the next morning and gave me an estimate and went over the estimate with me to make sure I understood and he mentioned replacing the power steering fluid (i had just topped it off a week earlier) i mentioned that I had just topped it off and he said that it was low. So he said lets check it out...sure enough a leak from one part was masking a leak in the power steering. Great Catch! Basically Circle auto did a lot of work, made sure it was not only right but exceptionally right. And what would have cost me $3000 somewhere else didn't break the bank. I will continue to take my car to Circle Auto...they are the best and they take time to make sure you are happy and understand before they do the work.

I asked them to work on brakes. They said something about checking over the car and asked if there were problems I knew about. I explained that I would not be keeping the car long and told them of some preexisting problems and they responded by saying that in light of this, they probably wouldn't check the car over. A few hours later they gave me an estimate for brakes, battery assembly replacement and front axle work. They said that additional work did need to be done on the vehicle, however they recommended these three repairs be performed immediately for the safety of the vehicle's operation. Thus, they did check the car over despite telling me they probably wouldn't. When I went to pick my car up, the mechanic and front desk employee at Circle Auto launched a high-pressure salespitch, showing me the problems with my car. They backed off on one of the supposedly critical safety issue repairs, tried to get me to have less work done. When I continued to decline, they charged me over $100 for diagnostics. If you do choose this repair shop, please be sure they are CRYSTAL clear with you about the costs that will be incurred for diagnostic work that you may or may not authorize. It also may not hurt to get price comparisons for similar work from other mechanics.

Sample reliability story ... I took my car to a tire shop and was strongly warned (scared into thinking) that my breaks needed immediate replacement. Jeff gave me a second opinion and was annoyed at the tire shop. He estimated my breaks would last another 15,000 miles easily. 15,000 miles later, Jeff took another look and I enjoyed 5,000 more miles without new breaks. I ended up getting new breaks from Circle Auto Repair.
