I had been a loyal customer since 2007 but after yesterday's experience no more. Long story short my furnace went out Tuesday AM. I spoke with Edie and she arranged for George to come out to determine the issue. George explained the issue (inducer assembly) and quoted me a price/estimate for the repair ($461.00). During the same conversation I asked if he had changed the filter and he stated no that he figured I would want the winter service and that can be done when they return for the repair. I was OK with that. I spoke with Edie Tuesday afternoon and ordered the part. Edie called me promptly Wednesday morning and arranged for a noon install. Ben arrived at noon and completed the task. Before Ben left I simply asked him if he had replaced the filter and his response was no, and he was not sure if George had replaced it on Tuesday. My response was don't worry about it, I will just do it myself and save the $80.00. Well when I removed the panel to replace the filter there was a bundle of wires and a transformer laying on top of the filter. I have changed the filter many times and this was never the case. I called back to Bishop and attempted to explain to Edie what happened and she was very short and cut me off saying that she will call Ben and have him return. After a minute Edie calls back again and tells me Ben is on his way and that I had asked him to "replace the filter" and he explained to me that was not included in the price of the repair. I attempted to explain to her that this was not the case and I had discussed the Winter service with George. She did not even give me a chance to explain and immediately cut me off by saying that "There's always something with you" and "Next time you can repair your own equipment". I feel that she has probably been there forever and is and feels that she can treat customers any way. Needless to say, I will not be using Bishop again. I do not need to pay a premium for poor customer service and will take my business elsewhere.

Our hot water boiler gave out during a very cold stretch in January. I called several companies and they weren't available to come out for about a week. Bishop Equipment made a special effort to come out as soon as possible and did an excellent job.

We have been using them for over 30 years now. They have always been very thorough in their work. I speak to Edie to get something scheduled and she is just amazing. They are just wonderful to work with and very professional and nice people. The technician, George, is the nicest person and is really good with our dogs. It almost seems like family when they come by our home.

Bishop has very experienced technicians. They have had special training on the spilt systems, and can work on both our Carrier main system and our Sanyo split system, which not every company can service.
We have never had either an HVAC failure since we have been having Bishop service our system Fall and Spring for the season ahead.
The service people are clean, quick and come when promised.

We have received excellent service from them. My experience was very good. We would sign up for service and they would contact me and say it is time for the summer service as opposed to me having already paid for service and sort of waiting and waiting for them to get in touch with me to do the service. When they would come out to perform a service they would have done properly the first time. They are a small company and very reliable. They are honest and fair on pricing.

My appointment was from 9:00 to noon and a senior technician and a young man in training arrived well within that time frame. All the work was done in about an hour. They asked if I had any questions and answered them for me. Everything was cleaned up when they left. The senior technician has been to my house many times before and is very familiar with the equipment. I have used Bishop for approximately 34 years and am still very satisfied.

I was somewhat relunctant to hire a HVAC compay to do this work since historically we always had this done by plumbers and it involves extensive pipe work and valves. I decided to go with Bishop based on the excellent recommendations on Angies . They came out same day I called to inspect and gave me an approximate verbal estimate of price . The written estimate came about 6 days later at the quoted price of $6500. It was $3,000 less than what I received from another company. They showed up on the scheduled date and time and it was obvious that their technician had a lot of experience with boilers and knew what he was doing. In fact he was training another tech. They took about a day and half and they hauled the old boiler away. The system now runs fine and I am very satisfied and will use them again for sure.

It went well. I had to schedule this a couple of weeks out as they are very busy this time of year. Worker showed up at the beginning of the promised window and serviced my A/C unit quickly and efficiently. It was raining, so when he had to come back into the house he removed his shoes so as not to track in mud - I appreciated that. The only bad thing was that he didn't clean up the debris he removed from the interior unit. Not a big a deal really, but I did notice it and just took a broom to it after he left. Overall a good experience. I would recommend Bishop Equipment.

On January 4, 2011 our home natural gas furnace stopped producing heat. We called Bishop Equipment Co.,Inc. (based on rating on Angie's List) for service. Their response was quick and punctual. The technician, George Key, was courteous, very professional, and immediately identified and corrected the problem. He also was generous with advice on the future operation and maintenance of the equipment. In the future we will definitely call Bishop Equipment for problems in this category.

We called Bishop at 8 am on Saturday morning after waking up at 6 am and realizing our air conditioner wasn't working. Our house was already 87 degrees. Yikes! We called two companies that advertised themselves as open 24/7. Only one of those companies, Snell, called us back. However, they already had a full schedule and said they'd call back late morning (which they did) to let us know if they could squeeze us in. We moved to our next list. There were five companies (all from Angie's List) whose listings stated they opened at 8am on Saturdays. My husband started calling at 8:10 (we were hot!) and only two of those companies answered. Richards, one of the companies who answered the phone, couldn't get anyone to our house until Monday. Bishop, answered by Bishop (not a machine or a service) said he could be by before 9 am. He was at our house in less than 20 minutes and done before 9. Yay! Cool air again. I have no idea what a capacitor is and how much it would/should cost but $147 was a bargain to have our A/C working on this hottest of all hot weekends. Definitely professional and VERY timely and would recommend to others and use again myself.
