The unit malfunctioned within the first 90 days - the blower fan was off balanced. Ariel, the owner, came and fixed the issue for free (it just involved tightening some screws). In July of 2016, the contactor failed. He told me that I shouldn't be having issues with the unit after just over a year so he would come look at it for free. He ended up charging me $85 for a contactor that retails for $10 at home depot. I didn't mind that he was overcharging me since it was past his one year work guarantee and I just wanted my HVAC system to work. In October of 2016, the blower motor failed. I asked Ariel how much the part would cost and he told me that he didn't know but it would be expensive. I asked him was the part under warranty and he said he didn't know but that I could check. I'm pretty sure he knew the parts were under warranty but he wanted to make money off of me selling me an overpriced part. I called the manufacturer and found out that the part was under warranty. I told Ariel and he told me that he was going to charge me $350 for labor to replace to blower motor assembly. I called other companies to get quotes and all of them gave me cheaper quotes. One company that was unaware that I didn't need the part quoted me less than $350 with the part included. The manufacture told me that labor up to $105 was under warranty as well, and that it shouldn't cost much more than that. They told me the $350 is closer to labor and parts combined. I would not trust Ariel (AIRFLOW SHEET METAL LLC) with doing work on your property. Attached are screenshots of text messages between Ariel and I that show how unprofessional he is.

Working with Ariel (the owner) was a refreshingly pleasant experience and the prices he gave me (and stuck to) were far better than quotes I received from other companies for the same work. Ariel and his team were remarkably fast and efficient in sizing, selecting and installing the air conditioning and mini-split systems. Both systems were installed exactly as we discussed and both work well. I could tell that unlike the air conditioning, the boiler work I needed was a bit of a stretch for them but I'm very happy with the result. When the work was finished, Ariel refused to accept final payment until after the inspections were passed even though there were considerable delays on my part and the part of other contractors getting ready for final inspection.
