Darren and crew replaced a section of drywall in the ceiling, taped, sanded, primed, and painted in 1/2 day. It's so seamless, you can't tell where the work was done.

Darren and his crew were wonderful. I had several estimates; they were mid priced. A friend recommended who was a former painter and very particular. They used top quality products. Darren has excellent communication skills. He was there at the start of every day to answer any questions and promptly responded to any emails. His crew was pleasant, punctual, and took great pride in their work. They went the extra mile. I wish all companies were this easy to work with!

Our experience in dealing with Darren and his crew from start to finish was outstanding. After our last painting experience, it was refreshing to deal with an owner and crew who performed the job like it was their own home and took steps to ensure the work delivered was top notch. Darren was great to work with. He came to the house and carefully documented the exterior painting and carpentry we wanted to have done and provided a detailed estimate. When the time came to perform the work, his crew arrived on time and took care to ensure paint didn’t splatter over our stoneface porches and pathways, plants, and surrounding areas. When the job was completed, Darren came by to ensure it was done correctly and exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend them.

I can not say enough good things about Darren and his crew.  We have used him on a number of jobs at two houses.  As always they did an excellent job with the painting on this job.   What's really appreciated though is Darren's excellent communication and attitude.  He really does want to make sure that you are happy with their work and gladly took care of any issues that came up.   Highly recommended!

 Arrived early with great crew, Darren went over the initial bid again and we added a few more things, and work began. Second day same scenario. Darren stopped by to make sure we were happy as job was finishing up. This crew exceeded our expectations, everyone of the guys were great and very respectful of our home. I had gotten another estimate as well and his price was right in line with first estimate. Happy to recommend them!

He was very easy to contact, very pleasant to deal with, and actually fixed something we did not ask him to fix at no extra charge. He is very thoughtful.

Excellent. I called him to paint a condo to put on the market. I've also used him on my own house. I spent $2500 on the condo painting and he's getting ready to start another job for me next. I got his name form someone and I used him and I've used other painters and he does such a good job, he's easy to work with, he's a nice guy, and he's Johnny on the spot and I've always thought his prices are very fair. Once I find somebody I like I keep on going.

The experience was really very good.  I was very happy with him.  The price was a good cost for what they did.  His men were really fast, there were five of them.  They did a really good job and he gave me a lot of options.  The price was really good.   I had a good experience with him.  He gave me a written quote unlike other handyman who will give you a verbal quote. He specified the materials and the price for each material.  He was very organized as far as his calendar of his availability.  When his crew came, it was done well and there were no spills which made me happy.  He is one of the best companies I worked with through Angie’s List.

My boss and I have been using Darren's services for several years now, and he and his crew have consistently done a great job at a reasonable price.  The last time I hired Porterbuilt, his crew forgot to do a couple of things and had to come back, but that was unusual and not a big deal.  I highly recommend using Porterbuilt and have just contacted Darren for some new work.

The crew showed up on time and went to work.  They finished in a day and I was completely satisfied.  Any mistakes or overpaints I pointed out were quickly cleaned up and fixed.

After going cheap the time before on trim work and painting, I wanted my townhome done correct this time.  Darren came and gave me a complete estimate, going over alternatives and coming back with adjustments to the estimate as questions arose.  Porterbuilt was by no means the low bidder, but I was impressed with the commitment I sensed toward overall quality and long-lasting workmanship.  My neighbors went with lower bidders, I went with Porterbuilt.  Darren showed up with his crew and stayed for hours getting them set up and getting me comfortable with what work was going to be performed and when as agreed upon.  The attention-to-detail shown by his crew was exactly what I was looking for.  Past mistakes were shown to me and corrected, not just painted over.  Emphasis was placed on getting the trim work done with ?plastic- wood,? products to prevent any more rot in the future.  Porterbuilt has lots of experience using this product  and did a great job.  As they found more issues that were not evident until the up-close work began, I was alerted and work was continued with all parties in agreement.  This was not a get-it-all-done-in-one-day effort, but rather the trim work was a priority for a number of days, then the trim and the house was prepared for painting, and then the actual painting took place.  Darren and his crew took time to correct some over-painting mistakes from previous painters and even touched up some drips from years ago on the shingles.  Clean-up was very well done as a final touch.  Porterbuilt will be doing my painting from now on.  The adage of you get what you pay for really applies with Porterbuilt, and I?m very glad that I decided to pay for the best.

We knew there was a hole where squirrels were getting into our attic but it was in a very high place on the side of our house and we could not inspect it ourselves.  Darren found the hole and agreed to repair it.  When they opened up the area, they found a previous patch had just been placed over another hole and some rotting wood around it.  They replaced all the bad wood with an entire new set of boards, cleaned out the bad wood and old patch, and covered the area and painted it to match.  They were quick and cleaned up thoroughly.  They did not charge more than the estimate even though the bad wood was more extensive than expected.We had previously used them to fix a bad paint job on the front decorating framing wood around our front door.  We thought the wood was bad, but it was just the coating and poor prior paint job.  His crew took off all the bad finish and repainted it without needing to remove the wood.  The area looks better than we hoped and improved the front entry to our home.I will certainly call them again for any repair or replacement jobs ourside or inside our house,including wood work or painting.

Everything went extremely well and I couldn't be any happier the project. From the moment the project started to finish everything went smooth and on schedule. They really went above and beyond on this one fixing problems left behind by the drywall team to make the finished product look awesome. I have used Porterbuilt on a number of occassions and the work is always top notch. I have recommended Darren to a few friends and they have been very happy with his work as well. I would absolutely hire Darren and his team again!
