Brennan Tile

Barry and his team did a great job in my kitchen. I first sent him videos of the space and he connected me with a designer who helped me choose the perfect tile and grout for my space. Barry then came by to measure and look at the kitchen. It took months for the tile to come in but when it did he fit me right into the schedule. Once my old tile was removed there were a few updates needed to level the floor but that all went smoothly. It’s been a few months now and my kitchen floor looks amazing. So glad it was done by professionals.

Barry did a fabulous job. He was recommended on a local listserv, and he did not disappoint. He's obviously an experienced craftsman with high standards. He also secured the mantel to the wall for me.

It was such a pleasure to work with Brennan Tile! We are planning to replace our tile kitchen backsplash with V-groove boards, and needed the tile removed and drywall installed as a first step in the process. Matias completed the job in just one day, and did excellent work. I was able to paint over the drywall the next day, allowing the kitchen to look great, even as we wait for the wood to arrive. Matias made the messy job of tile removal and wall repair an absolute breeze for our family. He's an artist in addition to being a craftsman. He put his expertise into the design that I seldom see else where. He's very accommodating of my time and priorities. He willingly accepts suggestions on design changes. He has extraordinarily high standards for his mastery of work. He especially keeps the house cleaned while he is working.

The job went well and was done professionally. 
There were no breaks in the work being done and it took about a week.

This was our first major remodel and we were looking for a contractor who could give us ideas on how to make our master bath more attractive and functional and help guide us through the process.  We found this and more when we consulted with Barry Brennan.   He helped us design a bath that was both beautiful and functional while better utilizing the room space.  The entire remodel took three weeks and was started and finished on schedule.  We were briefed on what work would be done each day and shown the results at the end of the day.  The team of contractors Barry brought in were professional and worked well together.  No small detail was overlooked, from changing  the hinges and doorknobs to better match the new fixtures to selecting the right paint color to enhance the room.   Care was taken to protect flooring and furniture from the construction dust and debris and the work area was straightened up and left orderly each day.    We will be calling Barry again when we are ready to remodel our other bathrooms.

 

Overall the process was great!  Barry is experienced with tile and renovations so was able to offer different thoughts and opinions.  Generally we ended up going with his recommendations although the one or two times we went a different direction he supported the decision.  For instance, we were initially only going to do the foyer and hallway, leaving a hall half bath with the current tile - Barry strongly recommended taking the marble into the bathroom and was able to accommodate it without too much change in the price so we ended up adding that part - which looks AMAZING!
On the other side, he recommended doing both the baseboard and shoe molding but my wife doesn't like the look of the shoe molding so it was no problem - and the tile work is done clean and accurate so it wasn't necessary!

Mr Brennan responded to my initial inquiry in a timely manner and his estimate was right on other estimates given. He was very helpful in working with the tile company (picking up the tiles) and the work was done on time. The quality of the work was excellent and Barry was very pleasant to deal with. I have and would continue to recommend him. I know he had other jobs ongoing at the same time but this did not interfere with my job getting done on time.

All work was completed a couple days ahead of schedule at the cost that was quoted to me.  He worked well coordinating his work with the other contractors on the site.  Mr. Brennan showed up on the job on time and cleaned up after himself daily.   He maintained contact with me and returned all my calls.  He was polite and respectful to everyone involved in the project.

    Brennen Tile has  provided excellent service and superior workmanship for over fifteen year.

Mr. Brennan arrived at our home to look at what we planned to have done and provide us an estimate for replacing the ceramic tile in our master bathroom.  An hour later, he had designed an almost-complete renovation, turning a builder's grade, ho-hum bathroom into an attractive, modern, efficient, and space-saving configuration ? all at a proposed cost within our budget.  Because his design included new recessed lighting, plumbing fixtures, a unique window/seat arrangement, and other structural changes, Mr. Brennan assumed the role of prime contractor coordinating and scheduling the other contractors and skilled labor (e.g., plumber, electrician, and drywall finisher) necessary to complete the job.  He provided us with a schedule of what would be done and by whom during the 10 days required to complete the job and, when the renovation was finished, no deviation had occurred even though there were a few surprises behind the walls and bathtub that took extra time to reconcile.

Brennan Tile did an absolutely outstanding job turning a plain, cramped master bathroom into the showplace of our entire house.  He used several sizes and colors of ceramic tile and stone to create a beautiful and unique shower area and we remain delighted over the design, quality of work, and overall cost of the project.  Barry Brennan has a wonderful eye for design (something we didn?t expect, nor pay for), is scrupulous and honest (we gave him our house keys for the 10-day duration of the job without the least concern), is skilled at scheduling and logistics, and does fantastic tile and stone installation work.  I recommend Brennan Tile without reservations.

All of the design flaws of the previous bathroom and powder room were rectified by Barry's concepts and suggestions.
Barry is more than just a contractor He has a very good eye for aesthetics. He even suggested paint changes in other rooms of the house which we did on our own.

EXCELLENT  job!
The demo was quick and appropriate. 
The floor, tub, and shower wall tiles were set perfectly.  The new all-glass shower was installed perfectly.  THe shower floor was installed perfectly.  The cabinets that we picked were juuuuuust too wide.  His crew worked their magic and they look great, installed.   He had to tweak the installation for the hanging lights that we picked out because they didn't fit exactly like the old ones did and the installation came out great.  He even helped with recommendations on fixing some things that were bothering us in another bathroom done by another remodeler.  Once we had that info, we were able to move forward with those fixes. 
(I'm not 100% sure of the "approx. cost of service" because I don't have the paperwork in front of me and I can't remember all the changes that we submitted or those affiliated charges as things progressed, but that's close, I think)

Tile selected included a decorative border in the shower area. When installed, different thicknesses of tile caused a rough, unattractive appearance. I was unhappy that this problem had not been pointed out ahead of time and even more when I learned that it could have been compensated for by building up the base beneath the thinner tile. Tile installation was not complete when I asked that this problem be corrected. I chose a different glass liner tile to blend the change from thinner field tile to thicker decorative stone border tile. He charged an additional $368 to correct the problem. The floor area includes a less than 3-square foot space for the stacked washer/dryer. Although his estimate covered retiling the floor, when the work was in progress, he did not include the laundry area and charged $350 additional to do that work. The floor tile was installed without planning for a door sill, which was on the work order. Installing the sill later resulted in a floor pattern that looks odd and unprofessional. Vanity cabinet installation was completed without a spacer between the wall and drawer base, causing drawers to scrape the wall. One drawer was crooked, but not fixed by the installer. Contractor suggested cutting 1/8" off the edge of the drawer! His demeanor, language and attitude was rude and unprofessional - bordering on intimidation and harassment. I have paid all charges, even those I consider to have been the result of his incompetance, because I do not want to have any further contact with him.

THEY DID QUALITY WORK AND WAS ON TIME GETTING THE JOB DONE FOR US. I WAS HAPPY WITH THE WORK THAT WAS COMPLETED AND THE WORKERS WERE VERY GOOD AND CLEANED THE WORK AREA WHEN THE JOB WAS DONE.
