I would never use them again. The guy was very rude, I had offered to pay at the time of service and then the guy said "As long as you pay within 30 days". They sent me a bill and I was waiting on my second pay cheque to pay them, which was coming well within 30 days. By the middle of the second week he kept asking me when I was going to pay him. He told me that I was supposed to send the money when he sent the bill and I told him that the bill said no interest will be added once the payment is within 30 days. It hasn't been even 14 days and he was very nasty. I said I was never going to use them again. When they got the money from us it was well within 30 days. Probably 16 to 17 days.

The technician arrived in an hour and got right to work.
He was very polite and seemed to be very knowledgeable.
He systematically checked each part of the system and fixed what was bad.
Got me back up and running in 2 and a half hours.
Also fixed a drain pan under the air handling unit which is in the attic and took pictures to show me the damage.( I have a broken ankle and couldn't go up there.)
I have already got them to schedule me in to take care of a few more small projects that need to be done.
I would highly recommend them.

Although Dave's company did not install the original unit in our house, he has come by several times during the last few years to look at the set up and offer solutions to some of the problems we had been having and at no charge even though he had to drive out of his way to get here. He seemed honest and very knowledgeable during the times that we met and I felt confident that he would do the job right the first time and follow through with any concerns we may have, so we hired him for this job without even getting quotes from other companies. They started and finished exactly on the schedule I was given. The job was done professionally and the crew cleaned up after themselves (for the most part). The new system is working better than intended and Dave has followed up with us to make sure everything is working properly and that we are happy with the work.

I called Commonwealth for a rather large project that involved removing the existing breaker box from my kitchen and installing a new and updated box in the living room, repairing bad connections, installing ceiling fans in 2 bedrooms and replacing the ceiling fan in the kitchen and installing a grounded outlet in the bathroom. I also noticed that my heat pump was not working properly so we added that to the list. I had received one other estimate that was significantly higher so, I went with Commonwealth. David came out with one assistant and completed the work in just one day. The next day, I didn't have any hot water so, I called David back and he came right out (on the weekend!) to replaced and rewire the breaker. A couple of weeks passed and I noticed the new ceiling fan in the kitchen was blowing through light bulbs rather quickly. I called on David once again and he came out and put my old ceiling fan back in, at no charge, so I could return the faulty one to the store. I haven't had a problem with it since. As summer progressed, the air conditioner was not cooling the house. David came out and added freon and changed my air filter with in a day. He is very friendly and professional and as I continue to improve my house, I'm sure I will call on him again... I definitely would consider using another company so I hope he stays in business for years to come!

Decided to finish my downstairs basement. Called David Smeltz to give me an estimate and was able to finish the job in no time. Very happy with the job performed. Would definately call again if more work is needed.

Excellent job from beginning to end of installation. A little on the messy side but that goes with the territory.
