This is in response to the company's false statement and baseless accusations. Unlike their installer, we are civilized and educated people and do not use foul language. The company owner who tried to act as a professional showed his true colors when he wrote his commenrt in response to our review. It tells Homeowners what kind of people you will be dealing with. Please read the email thread below between the homeowner and the company owner. It speaks for itself. For privacy reason, the only thing that was omitted is the homeowners names and email addresses. Please note that we turned down the discount they offered. We never wanted anything for free. We cared for quality and never even negotiated down the price from the very beginning. We thought FBT tile is a professional company. We were fooled by the reviews and learned a lesson. Email correspondence starts here: Hello Mr. I heard before leaving work that there was an issue with Charlie this afternoon. I do not know if Charlie is having personal issues or if there is something else going on with him but it is no excuse for his actions. Charlie has worked for us for over 5 years and I have never seen this kind of behavior from him. Again, this is no excuse. I will have a conversation with him in the morning. I cannot apologize enough. If I had time, I would have hired a lawyer and sued this despicable person. He should be in jail or in a mental facility, not out there in people's homes. But I will make sure every homeowner in the association where I live and every corner online hear about this disaster of a human being. Cussing me out in my own house and telling me that caulking was not part of the contract and that I was trying to get something for free is something unheard of in a civilized world, a world people like Charlie will never belong to. The balance has been paid in full. Thank you. Second Corresponde a day prior: Ok. Thank you. Have a good day. Sent from my iPhone On May 8, 2018, at 07:33, Frank Brennan wrote: I see. Honestly, I was not told that I had to buy from certain vendors. In fact the item we found from MSI was available at Mosaic but they did not carry the color my wife wanted. Also, I did not pick the vendor, I told Jason there were many vendors in the area and I suggested one. It turned out he did not carry enough of it and I scrambled to find another vendor myself the last minute to have the products delivered to our house. In the interest of time, please send the same installer, Charlie. I appreciate the discount but I am gonna have to respectfully turn down the offer. Please offer the $200 to Charlie and the lady who is helping him to make sure they do a good job and finish today. Thank you very much. I need to speak to Jason when I get into the office this morning for our meeting and get a little more information about what happened. Charlie is an incredible installer and normally clients are extremely happy with his work. I will speak to Charlie about what happened today. Jason is also a great project manager and I can't remember the last time anyone had an issue with him. I believe he spent an hour or so at your project helping Charlie set the hearth. He has many jobs to visit in one day and spent a good deal of time at yours. I also believe he was always very responsive to your phone calls and emails. I will have to get more information from Jason about the hearth being measured incorrectly. I did go through all of your and Jason's emails back and forth to get a better idea of the issue since I have not spoken to Jason yet. It seem like you purchased the tile and had it delivered to your house. I do know that we had our driver run around trying to get the materials for you last week but got the run around from the vendor you selected. It looks like you then were able to have the vendor deliver it to your house. This is not a vendor that we use and that can be a problem if we do not know what to expect from them. Typically we only work with our preferred vendors for this very reason and will let the client provide the tile or stone if they choose someone else. Also, the stone slab was not selected from a vendor of ours but we picked it up and delivered it to your home. I do not think there was a charge to you for us picking up these items. I do understand that we were not able to get the ledger stone because of the issue we had with the vendor you selected. I assume you were told by Jason that it would take one day to install? I do know we have a policy that we do not guarantee finish dates, only start dates. So I am surprised he would tell you that. It is even on the bottom of all of our proposals. We do sometimes let the client know that we will try to finish by a certain date or time but we cannot guarantee it. It does look like they should be able to finish with no problem today. If you would like, I can send a different installer but that may cause more issues having someone come in on a job that has been started by someone else but I am willing to do that if your would like. I am very sorry that this project took longer than you expected. If a discount of $200.00 will help I would like to offer this to you for having to take a second day off so we can finish. If you would like, I can give you a call to discuss further. I am the homeowner and am writing you to express my dissatisfaction and disappointment with the crew and their supervisor, Jason. From measurement to installation, the crew to include your supervisor, more than anyone else, displayed lack of professionalism and work ethics I have never seen before. The hearth wasn’t measured right to be centered around the opening of the fireplace. The installer had to put another layer inside the opening to make it look even on both sides while he was complaining all day long about Jason and the fact that he had assumed he will finish in one day. I also asked Jason to order extra cases when he measured because as you know with natural stone, some pieces may be damaged or non-matching. When we started sorting out the pieces this morning, he said we barely have enough! Add to all that, the installer argued with the female employee all day almost about everything. I really felt sorry for her because I must acknowledge she was kind and hardworking. When I called Jason, the supervisor, later on this afternoon, I asked him if could stop by or find out where the installer went, his usual response was he wouldn’t be able to come back this afternoon. Usually supervisors check on their employees at least twice a day. I am not sure if this has to do with the fact that this is a small job and he is not interested or what the issue is. If the latter is the case, he should have told us from the very beginning and we could have hired another company. According to what I have read online, your company prides itself on providing great customer service. I can tell for sure that my wife and I have experienced the worst customer service ever.
