I call CB Lucas to get my AC fixed as it with not cooling. They sent a technician for diagnostic, Bill was on time very professional, knowledgeable and he was amazing he got my unit to cool in no time! I was so happy. Temperature that week was in the 90 degrees and they got it back to cold right away. I rate this company an A+ Thank You Bill

These were two separate incidents and both went very well. The leaking faucets were my outdoor line, front and back, which were handled in October. I tried to repair the washers in the faucets myself, but was unable to loosen the nuts to get to the washers. The last time was for a pinhole leak in the water line in the kitchen ceiling. It required a solder job, something I am not comfortable even attempting. Both repairs were completed in less than an hour. The plumber, Greg, did a great job, was very professional and gave me a very good feeling that he knew what he was doing. The pipe in the kitchen ceiling needed a replacement piece. The price was reasonable (both jobs are included in the cost here) and, since I have a Heating/Cooling annual contract with them, a customer with such a contract gets a discount on repairs.

I was deployed overseas last year. And typically, my furnace started to fail during the winter. My wife got several estimates from larger companies in the area and then had CB Lucas come by to give us an estimate. The other two companies stated it "had to be replace" and it would cost nearly 15K to replace the furnace and AC units. CB Lucas came for the estimate and told her she only needed to repair the unit at that time. CB Lucas could have just given us another bid for the replacement but instead said the furnace and AC Unit would eventually have to be replaced but wasn't an emergency at the time. That it could be repaired and would last until I returned from Overseas. She had them repair the unit. Fast forward to this fall. We have some major renovations ongoing in our home. We had bids to replace the furnace and AC unit but wanted to relocate the furnace and water heater as well. CB Lucas was our first and only call. They were more affordable then the other major service providers in the area. Our job would have cost over 20K using the larger named companies. Instead it was less then 12K. We replaced AC unit and Replaced/Moved our Furnace and Water heater from the center of our basement to the corner. This required moving the air returns, plumbing and gas lines. Additionally, we had them run new air return ducting up to the second floor in order for us to remove the old return ducts so we could expand our kitchen. The installers were awesome, clean and polite. I've already called them back to do additional work to move our washer and dryer to our second floor. I would highly recommend this company to anyone. I cannot say enough good things about them. I have no familial ties or friendship to this company or any of its employees. I'm only a consumer trying to spread the word about this reliable and trustworthy company.

Lucas tech came to repair HVAC unit April 2017. Tech diagnosed leaking coil and was excellent. He added Freon, got unit functional, and informed me the coil would need replacing. I provided tech with manufacturer’s parts warranty info and he provided price to do repair. Price was steep, but I was told it was complicated repair and system would need to be drained to make repair. I followed up with Lucas multiple times and was told, “Part was on back-order”. Finally, in October (eight months later) when I called them I was told my unit was “never registered for product warranty” but they could get me an alternate coil somewhere else. This was a bold face lie. I called the manufacturer’s distributor and manufacturer to verify both my warranty and part availability. Yes, I had a 10-year parts warranty. Yes, the part was once again on backorder and would be back in stock middle of November. I asked if it was typically for a part to be out of stock for eight months. The distributor opted “not to comment”. However, if Lucas had an alternate coil option for me why did it take them eight months to suggest this? I have worked with Lucas in the past and found them to be ethical, so the only explanation for of this behavior is 1) something has changed there; or 2) they simply did not want to perform this repair. If they didn’t want to complete this job they should have had curtesy of telling me this instead of stringing me along for eight months, leaving me to chase them down and then bold face lying to me like some crazy ex-girlfriend. Maybe I simply was the “perfect storm” customer, but they never made any effort to make it right either. I would NOT recommend them to others.

I would give them an "A" overall, we don't know of any issues. I didn't have anything to compare the price to. I'd give them all "A's". We are continuing to use them, they haven't given us a reason not to.

The technicians were great. Roy diagnosed the problem with the old HVAC and thoroughly explained what was wrong and why a replacement was needed. Butch and Roger installed a new system, in a rain storm (!), professionally and smoothly. My only problem was that Roy told me that the $95 diagnostic charge would be deducted from our total cost if we decided to use CB Lucas. However, when I got the final invoice cost from Butch the $95 charge was NOT deducted from the final cost. Butch said that the company probably would not charge our credit card. However, CB Lucas had in fact charged us for the $95 and the full cost of the HVAC install. I had to call the CB Lucas office twice to be issued a check refund for the $95. Bottom line, CB Lucas is a good company but check your invoice to make sure you're charged the correct amount.

Went horrible. Repaired this system over and over again, many times a year, for many years. Final straw was that the technician put I. His notes that I had let my house without paying him, completely dishonest. When I talked to the opener after receiving a bill in the mail and told him that never happened and he need to talk to his technician and give me a call back. The owner never called back or talked to the technician. I had to call once again as I was so disturbed about the technician being so dishonest. The owner did not seem interested at all that such a fabrication was reported. Will absolutely never use them again as honesty is the most important aspect while dealing with services and money.

Service window scheduled for 8am-2pm. Tech arrived at 10:30. Eric was knowledgeable and proficient. Labor and R22 cost(s) reasonable. Provided quote(s)/estimate(s) for two (2) different models to replace Trane aircon and furnace. He clearly explained the pros and cons of the two different Trane models.

While it took some time for the parts to come in, the company was very flexible with their appointments and the installation team was professional and installed the humidifier without issues.

I purchased 2 AngiesList deals ($130 each) for CB Lucas to work on our humidifiers. The deal was for them to conduct a seasonal tune up and replace the water panels for my two whole house humidifiers. The technician came out, looked at the humidifiers for about 5 min and said that they both need replaced - since they need replaced, there is no sense in servicing them or replacing the water panels, besides, he doesn’t have the right panel for either unit (even though I emailed the pictures of the units with the model numbers in advance). The technician gave me an estimate for the replacement (which I accepted and signed). Since that time, I have sent them several emails and placed a few phone calls, but they have been generally unresponsive and never scheduled to come out to complete the installation. Once, we were able to schedule the appointment (Friday after thanksgiving); however, I received an email the next day saying that they were short staffed and unable to make it – sadly, they never did offer an alternative date or follow up. Maybe this is an exception – but in my mind, it shouldn’t take this much effort and over a month of time just to schedule a company to come out to complete a simple job based on a signed estimate.

It was "fair" - the technician identified a failed motor in one humidifier and did not have the correct water panel for the other. Ultimately, I paid for servicing and replacing the water panel in 2 humidifiers and ended up with an assessment that one of them is not functioning and a quote to replace both of them. For what its worth, the price quoted for the replacement seems reasonable.

A/C went out on the hottest week of the year. Was still blowing air, but the air was not cool. Husband noticed at midnight that our compressor fan was not spinning and smelled burnt. The next morning we desperate for service, but not hopeful. Based on an Angie's List mailer, we called C.B. Lucas at 7:30AM the next morning when Brennan's phone message said did not open until 8AM. We were given a window of 8AM-12PM. We called a different business (also in the Angie's List mailer) who gave us a window of 10AM to 1PM. We called C.B. Lucas back to pinpoint a more specific time and the technician was on his way at 8AM arriving around 8:20AM. Eric diagnosed us with a faulty capcitator (common for the time of the year, he said). He actually had the part and installed it within 1/2 hour. He cleaned out our compressor unit explaining the whole time what we needed to do to maintain our unit. After we found out our unit is 19 years old, he gave us estimates of a new unit (we asked for them, he did not push them on us) and then he offered to look at our inside unit when we had more questions. He answered all our questions about dampers, vents, and what type of unit our house should have, such as how the cost would not be worth it to retrofit our system for a gas or to install the recommended lower floor and upper floor units for our house size as Brennan's suggested. Our house is 38 years old and only has one unit. He also recommended a cleaner to use on our compressor. He was extremely helpful, thorough, and patient. I will be calling C.B. Lucas again.
