Veterinarians, Animal Boarding Kennels
Just want to let all of you pet parents out there know to never take your animal to Cumberland Animal Hospital! My sister spent $1200 there, for them to tell us that her cat has a fever of unknown origin. He was in their care for 4 days, they said he was doing wonderful while he was there and he had already gained a pound since being there. So they decided to send him home with us. However when we brought him home he was the exact same way as when we brought him to them the first day. Not only did they do quite a few tests on him where they very easily could’ve seen that he was severely anemic, when we took him for his check up they told us that he was doing great. The next day after that we had to take him to another hospital because the poor cat could not even walk or hold his little head up. When I called to get answers as to why they pulled $1200 out of my sister for him to have not changed whatsoever, and still be in the state that he was in almost a month ago is absurd to me. They told us he was doing better, they told us that his blood work showed improvement. And they also claimed that we told them there was monetary issues and that is why we couldn’t get some more excessive test done. First of all my sister does not have money issues, and my mother was even willing to help out. And they told me that they had it in their notes that we told them we did not have the money for them to do that testing SEVERAL TIMES. And the only thing that that doctor had to say as to why they couldn’t find out what was wrong with him, was that his body wasn’t showing them that anything was wrong. She even mentioned to me that she thought about putting him on a steroid to help him. So if you think that that medicine was going to help him why would you have not given it to us. Why would you have sent him off with us saying he was okay?!

Cumberland Animal Hospital are a wonderful service and provide good treatment. When I took her in I thought I might have to put my elderly cat down. I was very distraught and they were very comforting and understanding. They were very sympathetic and were able to say that what was wrong was very minor and they could treat it. They did say that the time would come when it would be necessary but not this time. We were able to treat her with a couple of things. In a matter of two or three visits we were able to get her back and healthy and strong. They have a wonderful bedside manner - with the animals as well as with the owners!
