Tommy's Tree Service is Top-Notch! I asked them if they could do the work on a specific day, and they made it happen. I had one fairly large poplar tree removed from my back yard. The tree cutter climbed the tree and took each branch down systematically. The cutter was very careful with his cuts and seem to calculate every big cut he made. The tree was close to the house and probably about a foot from the shed. Again, he was very careful not to damage anything around the tree or let any branches fall on the fence or shed. I also had two other trees trimmed in my back yard. The cutter climbed each one and trimmed all the small AND large limbs that he thought should be taken off. I told the Estimated/Owner, that I wanted the trees trimmed as much as possible, and that's exactly what they did. I've had other companies "trim" my trees and charge similar rates for a lot less trimming. The cutter went way up in each tree to get the branches he thought should come off; it really didn't matter how high up in the tree they were, if he thought it should come off, he went up and got them. The last tree he trimmed was in my front yard. It's an oak tree that's probably about 150 years old--it's huge. The cutter used a truck with a cherry picker on it. He took his time and carefully trimmed branches away from my house as requested. After he was done, and before he brought the cherry-picker down, he asked if any other branches needed to come off. I told him it looked great. He/they did a great job! The other three workers pulled branches to the chipper and carried logs away as they were cut. They cleaned and raked the back yard and made sure all the debris was picked up before they went to the front yard. Before leaving they raked up all debris and used blowers to clear my drive way and sidewalk. They used a shovel to remove the debris that was blown into the street and gutter. When they left, everything looked clean and my trees look great! This company has good equipment and expert tree cutters. I've put their phone number in my cell phone for the next time I need tree service. As stated above, I've hired other tree companies to do work and I've never thought about putting their phone numbers into my phone.

They did actually show up but they were more interested in trying to sell other services than doing work. It's kind of disappointing. They did some work. They spent most of the time trying to get me to do other work. They were pushy and they didn't do a good job of what they were supposed to do. I thought they should focus on that rather than trying to be pushy. They could have actually done the work. When they were done, they cleaned up their mess. It wasn't great with the price. I would not use them in the future.

"Im very sorry you felt that way. The problem with the big deal is people didn't read that its up to the crew and the owner on how much work get done for the allotted price. We cant go take trees down for 139.00 or add on more work that customers wanted. My crew offered lower prices to members who bought the big deal and asked them if there was other work they would like to have completed. The big deal was for only a certain set amount and doesn't always cover what needed to be done. As far as clean up my crew and myself work hard at the clean up and always put fourth 100 percent and we are sorry that it wasn't what you liked or anticipated. They were great to work with and very prompt. To be honest, they were great in every way except the results. I didn't know it at the time, but the way they trimmed the trees did not promote good growth. They cut them back way too much almost killing them. Basically, they seem efficient but not very knowledgeable about the trees and growth.

During the summer of 2011, the tropical storm brought lightning and struck one of the trees in our backyard. The tree survived but needed to be cleaned up. I was hoping for a nice quick trim of the burnt branches but Tommy Jr indicated that the tree was "top heavy" and needed to be pruned completely. It was a big tree and cost quite a bit of money to do the job. The tree trimmer came out the following week and did a good job. They did a wonderful job of cleaning up all branches and debris.

I wasn't really happy with them. They kept upping the price. We had to get them back because it wasn't a thorough job. We felt like we've been taken. They said they had done a work and then they forgot some equipment and they head again back to get it. It just wasn't a good experience at all. They didn't finish the work. I would never use them again.

Once they got there, they recommended several other trees be removed, as well, for various reasons. They were in and out in less than half a day, and I chose to do the removal myself to avoid extra charges. They cut the trees down and cut them up into pieces. If they had removed them, it would have cost a lot more.

Tommy's Tree Service were supposed to do the work and they said that the tree was in my neighbors yard and that was liability. I guess I am gullible because they ended up doing what I was not interested in. They were not to do what I wanted them to do, they were there to sell me services that I didn't need. They were responsive to their own needs but not to my needs.

We had trouble coordinating the date of the service but once they came out, they were quick and efficient. An ornamental tree was slightly damaged in the process but for the money, they could not be beat for the work performed.

This was a popular deal and we had to wait about a month for the appointment. However, they responded immediately to my phone call and was quick to set up a date conducive to both of our schedules. They were quick, professional, cut the downed trees into manageable logs that I could further cut down for fire wood. I would highly recommend them.

Four workers arrived at the scheduled time and proceeded to prune the fruit trees. After the fruit trees were done two of the workers climbed the large trees and cut limbs. While this was being done the other workers were putting the limbs through a wood chipper. After all the work was done they all cleaned up the area and raked it clean of all debris.
