Johnson's Tree Expert and Landscaping

This service provider was going door to door asking for work. He completed some work for my neighbor the day before with satisfactory results. The next he returned to my home once again offering to trim the trees. After he reduced his price in half from his original quote I hired him to complete the tree service. He promised to cut the trees close to the ground, cut logs down to below 42", and long branches to 6 feet or less. He promised I would not be asked to pay him until all the work was completed to my satisfaction. By 6pm they were not finished and I needed to leave. When he realized I was leaving he asked to be paid before I left. I told him I would be back in a few hours and I would pay him when I returned. He was concerned that my bank would be closed and he would not be able to cash the check the same day. He finally convinced me to pay him and asked me to make the check payable to a third party not Johnson's Tree Expert and Landscaping. I left on my appointment and when I returned job was not completed as outlined above. I left a message for him to return and complete the job as agreed and he never came back.
