GARRETT ROOFING

I sought 5 quotes to replace my roof. Garrett responded quickly and gave me a quote. His quote was reasonable and the best of five. I was familiar with his work in my neighborhood and spoke with a construction firm owner who uses Garrett Roofing for all his homes. His normal way of operating is the shingles are delivered one day and his crew is there the next. And what a crew it is. These folks are workers. In extreme heat they work hard. They arrived at 6:30 am and left at 8 pm with the job completed. They clean and pick up debris and nails. I have looked and haven’t found a single nail. I highly recommend Garrett Roofing not only for the price and professionalism but also communication about material delivery and job start. My roof looks great and I have gotten compliments from neighbors. You can’t go wrong with Garrett Roofing.

The initial roofing had a few minor problems. The peak was not even (an aesthetic issue), and some of the shingles were loose. A home inspection showed nails had not been touched up with silicon in some places and that the builders had left a couple of piles of nails on the roof (a hazard in case of heavy winds). However, Garratt was very responsive and sent someone over right away. The first two times, his people missed some of the nail holes and loose nails. The owner then came himself and made sure that everything was fine.It would have been great if he would have told us some of the other problems with the siding that did not meet the roof and with the gutters (a drainpipe was missing and some of the gutters are too small for the volume of run-off from the roof). These were builder issues, but it would have been very helpful for me as theowner to know about them so that I could get after the builder.
