Punctual, professional, and careful. Double-wrapped valuable items in thick blankets, loaded and unloaded with caution and efficiency. Everything went smoothly from start to finish. I appreciate that it is a company run by a woman. 

What I appreciated the most: Due to road closure (for repair), the 5 mile distance from the place of origin to the destination turned into 30 miles. Angie not only knew the local route very well (since it's near where she lives) but also studied the detour through the back country road and guaranteed a flat rate regardless of distance traveled and time spent. This was a relief since had I hired another company (not located in Crozet and charging by the hour), I would have had to guide them along the detour where I myself got lost during the test-drive.  



 

She was just incredible, very hands on, very personable and extremely responsive. Her movers are like family and it was just an all around great experience.

This job was handled in a thoroughly professional and accommodating manner. Everyone was considerate, attentive and personable. Made a large job very easy. I would absolutely recommend One Step Moving!

Angela Steppe and her 5 movers arrived 30 minutes early and stayed well into the early evening to move our personal possessions from 2 locations and 4 storage units to our new home, which was still very much a construction site. By the end of the day, we all felt like family! And instead of collapsing, we felt like partying! Impossible, but true.

Even now, several days later, I had to call Angela to inquire about a missing piece of art, and she was able to direct me to the correct room in my house to find it!

I can't say enough about the confidence and trust I place in this company. They made what could have been an arduous ordeal into
a manageable and pleasurable experience. I was left with the strong impression that there is nothing they can't handle!

Almost makes me want to move again, because I now know who to call! I said "almost"...

They showed up early, which is always a pleasant surprise.  They laid many blankets over the driveway so as not to damage or stratch itmes being unloaded from the POD.  They secured the load at each third to secure the load for transport.  She and James knew exactly what would fit in each space and they wrapped and taped everything they touched.  She even pointed out the errors in the original packing process so that I could take pictures to bring action against the original packing company.  They didn't take breaks or ask for materials, supplies, etc. as the original group did.  She was appreciative of the work and I am quite particular about doing the job right the first time, as was Angela.  That meant the world to me!  I was so relieved after they finished that my furniture and belongings would safely surivive being transported.  If you need a mover who has a great attitude, shows up on time, provides ample supplies and does a first-class job, call this company.  They are worth their weight in GOLD!!!

meet my mother and take pictures of everything that had to be moved.
They were punctual, professional and very friendly.Communication
was fantastic. Everything was done quickly and correctly.

Angela, the owner of One Step Moving, and her team, made up of two gentlemen, Tommy and Roy, were all courteous, conscientious, careful, and delightful to deal with. They took the stress out of the moving process! When we decided, on moving day, that we wanted to make a stop at the storage unit, they were able to accommodate us and made that seamless as well (charging us a very reasonable upcharge for the added time). 
Angela does a service where she cleans the apartment that has been vacated, which we have engaged her to do as well. This additional service REALLY lowers the stress of a move!
I enthusiastically recommend Angela and her crew at One Step Moving. As a family-owned business, they truly understand customer service!

I cannot say enough about the friendly and
professional service provided by Angela and her crew.  This was a difficult move, for a number of reasons, and I couldn't have asked for a more positive experience.  Angela was very responsive, even on a Sunday that was her son's first birthday.  She agreed to meet me earlier than the scheduled time on the day of the move so that I could make sure she understood what we wanted and did not want to be moved, and was patient with my folks when they got the dates of the move mixed up.  Angela and her crew were also willing to move things back OUT of the cottage and return them to the Glenmore house when my folks realized they did not have room for everything.  Lastly, Angela agreed to move my folks washer and dryer out of their house, to my house, and dispose of my old washer and dryer!  The stress relief of having someone smile while they do all this work for you was just amazing. Thanks Again Angela and Crew!!!

Firm is owned and managed by Angela Steppe who visited my house and took photos of what was to be moved. That evening she had me a quote, which was less than competitors. She required no furniture to be emptied, shrink wrapped most things and wrapped everything in thick blankets, taped to stay on. The trip was not a long distance, just a couple of miles, but the entire job from start to finish, with everything placed exactly where I wanted it, took only four hours without a scratch on anything. I recommend this company highly.

Very polite, very flexible.   Trustworthy.   Movers were careful and did not waste time.   Cleaning service was chemical free. SInce I was moving into a previously owned home,  I would actually have preferred a deeper scrubdown/sanitization (I decided this after the fact) but, to be fair, I did not tell them that while they were cleaning.

Fabulous! One Step is cost efficient, and does a safe, thorough job. Angela was our contact from start to finish and we had a two day move over the weekend. She was prompt in returning phone calls, arriving to appointments, move times, etc.  The staff was courteous and respectful of our entire family, home furnishings, and walls/floors.  Each member of the team greeted us personally, shook hands, made eye contact and gave us their names.  They employ veterans and we felt we were helping our US service personnel by using them as our contractor.  I would give them the highest rating I could and then some... A++

There are many cleaning companies but ONE STEP MOVING COMPANY, LLC is at the top of my list! They actually got on there hands and knees with a toothbrush in corners and along seams that had age old dust. I dont think my home had ever sparkled like that before. All of there cleaning products were environmental friendly so I didn't get a headache fron the smell of normal cleaning chemicals.I will only choose them to clean if I ever move again!

It went better than any prior move. Everyone was precise and very polite. Well groomed and dressed too. They shrink wraped all furniture then used heavy duty blankets. I was amazed!

Met with the owner to go over the details of items I needed moved.  The crew arrived on time, took extreme care in packing and securing my furniture.  Polite and stayed on track.  Worked well as a team.  All items were loaded in the truck, transported to my new location and unloaded without any problems.  The cleaning was done the next day, and when I added additional work, they were able to complete everything for a reasonable price.
I would definitely recommend One Step Moving to anyone who wants great service, they treated all my belongings and home as if it were their own, and that in itself  made my move less stressful and a happy experience.
They were not the least expensive, nor the most, but the recommendations from others, along with meeting the owner, gave me a much more secure feeling in choosing One Step.  I definitely would use them again and recommend to others.

Everything ran very smoothly.  Angela was very prompt to respond to my call and she came right over to do the initial quote.   Her quote came in under that of another competitor and I felt that I could trust her.  She is very knowledgeable and honest.  On the day of the move she and her staff arrived on time and ready to work.  I was very pleased to see the use of environmentally-friendly cleaning products.  All items were safely transported and delivered as promised.   I will use her and recommend this company to all of my friends and family!
