They were excellent. Very professional.

After going to the 2 "Big Box" stores to look for new vinyl flooring I 1) got tired of them acting like it was too much trouble to answer my questions or give me some advice in replacing my floor and 2) getting an accurate quote was like pulling teeth. Then I decided to visit Chester Floors since I had good luck a few years earlier having them install carpet in a small 8x16 room. The sales lady my wife and I spoke to was very helpful, knowledgeable, made some really good recommendations to color and style, and didn't hesitate to let us take a few samples home. The following week she came out to measure and gave us an estimate. It was less than I thought so we signed a contract. I took off the day of the installation to be at home supervising the install and they arrived on time even though they got stuck in traffic on the way there and it was raining. The two guys that came out were very nice and had been doing floor work for many years. After they started the Dand R work, they realized the one of the two original layers that was to be left down wasn't going to work. No worry, they removed everything anyway (which I really wanted), scraped all of the old felt off the floor, pulled up all the nails, re-patched the subfloor including a gap left at the entrance to the laundry room and let me install a few decking screws where I had a some creaks in the floor. Removing everything took them longer than expected (1-2) hrs and the only charged me an extra $50. I was going to give them that anyway! The vinyl sheet took a little longer to install than planned. The installers said they would normally unroll the vinyl outside, cut to length, then re-roll length wise to make it easier to install. Unfortunately they couldn't it since it was raining that day. Either way they took their time and in the end it looks AMAZING! Overall a very good experience. I do have one small spot (1"x3") at a door frame that has a small bubble, probably where it wasn't glued that needs to be looked at. I haven't called yet but I'm sure they will fix no problems asked. I was waiting to see if I noticed any other areas. It's been a month and so far I'm still shocked when I walk into the kitchen and see this beautiful floor. Thanks Chester Floors! We received a lot of help in selecting the right carpeting for each room and the price was fair. The installers were on time and well mannered. They were very careful while moving furniture to avoid doing any damage, as well as keeping the house clean, as they were doing the work. It was finished in one work day, and the carpeting looks great in our house.

The hardwood floors are just beautiful and I really love them. The installers were on time, did a marvelous job and cleaned up very nice. They were professional, everything went real smooth and we didn't have any problems at all. They were fast, very skilled and I would highly recommend this reputable company.
