Daughtry Electric

This review is based on Daughtry's pricing practices and not for any actual work performed on my residence. I had a house fire in May, 2013. Within 10 days of the fire, Daughtry provided an estimate for the electrical portion of my re-construction. Part of that estimate included a Crystal Chandelier that was seriously damaged in the fire. In his estimate, he provided a price of $8500 to replace the Chandelier. Daughtry was not awarded the job by my contractor for unknown reasons. Later on when the Chandelier became an issue with my insurer, the insurer contacted him to price the very Chandelier he had earlier priced. Only this time, he did not pass along the price he quoted. The price he provided was $3237.50 - a $5262.50 lower price. Two prices for the same Chandelier. When I called to discuss the problem with him he explained he did insurance claims for many years and hung up on me. When a contractor prices a Chandelier on May 14, 2013 at $8500 and later prices the very same Chandelier for an insurance company at $3237.50 - $5262.50 less, the general public should be on notice of this pricing practice. I want to reiterate - no work was performed and I am in no position to comment on his workmanship.
