Paving Plus

Paving Plus was hired to put down asphalt driveways for my mom and my aunt. The pictures below are of my mom?s driveway. They came out and worked on the driveways until after dark. They sealed it right after it was done. They did not wait the recommended amount of time to let it cure. They have both had issues with the softness of their driveways because it has not cured and Paving Plus put several coats of sealer on both driveways. Very poor communication. I know they will comment on this review that they couldn?t please them it has now been two years since their driveways were done. They passed from person to person and all they do is keep sealing them. They continue to tell them that asphalt is like that. It will leave marks if you move your tires. It was so soft our feet were sticking to it after a 2 years! I have found out that you should not seal the driveway until it?s been months-year before you seal it. Now they are throwing their hands up. We called our attorney.

The workmanship was good but the Salesmen didn’t do what he promised. So I got shorted a 15’x10’ turnaround spot that he promised he would come back and do but it is going on 2 years and no sign that he is coming. Do not use them.

I called paving plus on Monday to get an estimate Doug was there the next day he quoted me a great price and told me he could have my driveway paved that Friday his people showed up on Friday and did an excellent job they were on time even though I forgot and overslept they still got it done in few hours will have them do more work in the future and I recommend them to everyone who asks who did my driveway

Communication was bad but improved closer to when work done. Took 2 months to get work done. Several no shows and no communication. Weather rainy at first but afterward several weeks of good weather followed. Job took about 5 hours to complete. Work was good and driveway looks nice, but the other left us feeling very disappointed.

Paving Plus did our driveway in August, placed a drain for which paid extra, not a very functional drain and the asphalt laid around it is higher compared to rest of the driveway. It is almost like a speed bump every time my car is pulled into garage. Called them several times, did not return my calls, had no interest in fixing the problem, left several messages. If I can I will give 0 rating to this company, dont care about the customer or there needs. I will not recommend them to anyone.

Representative arrived and assessed situation immediately, measured the affected area and made a reasonable bid on the spot. When my wife told him she was concerned about coming rains leaking into the basement, he checked his schedule and moved up repair to within a week. Paving Plus arrived on time and did a beautiful job. I could not recommend this contractor more highly.

Went very well. I watched the initial work being done. I knew at that point they were doing it right.

Crist was wonderful to work with from the estimate through completion of the work. We enlarged our driveway/parking areas substantially. He fully explained all the steps they would take to complete the work, including any concerns regarding drainage. The work was planned for a 2-day session. They stayed late and completed everything in 1 day. We couldn't be more pleased with the quality of work, the team's hard work and Crist's professionalism. Would definitely recommend them to anyone needing paving and will use them again.

The free estimate was done right away and the work scheduled for the following week. The work was done as promised, on time and on budget. All the workers were pleasant and professional. We are very happy with the job and would rehire Paving Plus should we need paving work done again.

Some of the work was good, and some of it was bad, and they kept demanding money. I didn't give it because I wasn't able to check the work they did.

This was my first paving project purchased as a home owner. Crist explained every step of the project to us and gave us reasons why we did or did not need specific components performed. Crist is very knowledgeable and professional. The equipment that was used was very clean and I was impressed at how well his paving equipment is maintained considering it is used to haul and work around dirt, gravel, and asphalt. There were no extra charges that were in addition to the original quote. The entire project took nearly 10 hours of continuous work and the crew appeared to work well and seamlessly. Safety measures such as wearing bright color shirts, safety vests, trucks with flashing lights, men directing traffic were used. At the completion of the project, the entire area was cleaned and swept. These gentlemen worked very hard non-stop to get this project completed in one day-not that time was critical-it was just completed with no dilly dallying. No grass grows under the feet of Paving Plus!

It went fast and well. The whole crew operated smoothly and did a great job. A flash flood down our street washed a small part of the street end away; they came back and repaired and improved it without complaint or cost. It was a very pleasant experience dealing with them.

He cut me a deal low enough that I agreed not to disclose the final price. 

They were in my neighborhood again and likely knew that they could get me to finish repaving what they had already started in my first review.  They were right!  The initial paving held up well enough and the price was low enough that even if it was crappy asphalt that was poorly placed, it would still last me long enough that I wouldn't have to rip the whole thing out in the next 2 years as was the original plan.   They promised 20... maybe they will be right, but I will consider it a GREAT purchase even if I get 7 out of it.  It looks good so far. They kept the original slope so I don't have water in my garage.  They worked hard and fast.  Their paver had given out at the last job so they put it all in by hand.... perfectly level and smooth!

The long and short of it is... if this company is in your neighborhood with extra asphalt... They are not there on accident.  Someone in your neighborhood invested enough to call them and pay full price for the work and now you get a good deal on quality work. If you are the one with the driveway who is paying full price... Thank You!  And... I bet you got a pretty good deal as well.

They were on time and did a good job. No complaints.
