Well Pump Installation and Replacement
$2,800,000
I had contacted EVERY well driller in a 100 mile radius and Haynes was the final one on my list. No one had the experience to come put in a well on a mountain side. He did not even hesitate and to see the well truck in its spot to dig the well was incredible to say the least! He got water when other companies said it could not be done and he did not charge me an insane price. Professional, communication was great, and Dallas is simply amazing in his craft! I thought I would never have water but thanks to Haynes I can rest easy. Side note: Tory is just as amazing as Dallas is! Thank you for the great service!!

A year ago, while on a service call, a worker drove a truck into my septic tank breaking the lid. A temporary fix was a piece of plywood placed over the missing section of the break (one-third of the cover). Fully expecting the company to replace the lid, I made the mistake of paying for the work completed - this was a mistake because they still haven't replaced the damaged lid, one year later. So much for trusting this business.

Company sent two young, unprepared workers to perform the work.  They arrived around 10am, and spent most of the day borrowing our tools and scratching their heads.  The biggest shock came when the bill arrived.  We were quoted $2400 for a normal install for plastic pipe and wiring on a 400-foot pump, with worse-case-scenario being $3000 to pull a cast iron pipe on a 400-foot pump.  The workers measured and told us that our pump was at 270-feet with plastic pipe and that was what our replacement would be based on.  The invoice was billed at $3370.  We complained to the company that they were overcharging us.  They gave several invalid excuses, such as, excessive time for install, and that they had to dig to expose the old pump.   We informed the office that the workers were here seven hours, and much of that time was spent hunting my husband down to borrow his tools.  The original estimate was quoted on six hours of labor.  We also informed them that there was no digging involved, because we already had the pump well head exposed from trying to troubleshoot our water problems. The office manager was very rude, and ignored the fact that the company was not honoring their estimate.  Finally he said he would lower the invoice to $3000, "good for today only" and "take it or leave it."  It is our opinion that we were charged appx $600 to $1000 too much, based on the original estimate.  Additionally, the description of the pump on the invoice does not match the owners manual that the workers left us, so we're not even sure which pump we had installed.

They were amazing. They were excellent. They were very, very professional and very well priced. They had an issue with their equipment, which delayed our project for about two weeks, but he kept us informed and let us know what was going on. We had a question about something else after the well was drilled and he came out immediately to check it out. It was wonderful, wonderful service. We would definitely use them in the future.
Response from Haynes Well & Pump Service

"Thank you for your complimentary review! We have been a family business since 1908, and in the New River Valley since 1958. It is very rewarding when customers like yourself take the extra time to express encouragement in a public forum. We appreciate your business, and we especially appreciate your kindness in the review. Hope you enjoy cool, clear, refreshing water for many years to come from your “well drilled well” and pump system!"
