I called late afternoon and they were out before noon the next day. The repairman had everything needed on his truck and was able to do the repair quickly. It's a good idea to send them some pictures of what your setup looks like (especially if you have older doors, like I did) so that they can make sure they've got the correct parts when they come out. Would definitely use Hall's again.

It was easy to get an estimate and we were told it would take about 3 weeks to get the door and install it. After 4 weeks I called and was informed the supplier was having production issues but they hoped it would arrive the next week. It did and they installed it the next day, but that was over 2 weeks later than anticipated. The 2 person installation crew was super and did a great job.

Hall's came to my rescue last fall when I accidentally backed my car into my garage door when it failed to open all the way. They came immediately and adjusted my broken door so that it would close again at no charge. I then decided to replace the door and lift system when it began to fail later in the spring. Hall's gave me an estimate for a better door as well as a more efficient lift system. Their workers were on time, professional, and a pleasure to work with! They made sure to walk me though operating the new system before they left. I am in love with my new garage door and lift! It is practically silent when opening!

We have a 1950s vintage home.  The heavy manual lift-up garage door used two metal tracks with rollers, cables and pullies, and metal springs to open.  One of the springs snapped and jammed the door.  We went looking for a garage door service for the needed  repairs, and found Hall's on Angie's List.  We checked the BBB as well and Hall's website, and the company  appeared established and reputable.  I called and spoke with Terry Millirons, who was very down-to-earth easy to talk to, and though it was a Friday and late in the day, he took the time needed to understand the type of door and the problem we had.  I asked what it would cost for the needed repair and he indicated about $55.00 for the replacement springs and $90.00 for the labor.  I felt this was reasonable and we set a date for the the following week for the repair, which was to be done by one of their works named Jamie.  Jamie arrived the day and at the time we expected.  Jamie told us about the options for repairing the doors, including replacing the springs as we had discussed with Terry and some other options.  One option involved installing a tortion spring assembly.  This was more expensive but my wife and I thought this would be more suitable, so we went with that.  There was no pressure on us, and Jamie was prepared to make whichever repair we chose.  He indicated a $210.00 price, to which we were agreeable and he went to work on the door.  It took longer to repair due to the construction of our garage and where the framing was located for anchoring the parts.  Once finished, the door worked well and easily.   With us satisfied with the job, Jamie collected his tools and materials, cleaned up and said they'd send us the bill.  It arrived a few days later and was for the agreed-on $210.00 plus $6.00 tax.  Again, the repair had taken about twice as long as anticipated, but Hall's had charged the agreed-on price.  So, we were very satisfied with the service, and continue to be with the door's operation.  If we consider replacing the door in the future with a motorized remote control door, we will certainly consider Hall's for the job.

I called a little after 8:00 am and the door was repaired before 11:00 am the same day. Both the guy who answered the phone and the guy who did the repair were very courteous, clear, and efficient. I got a price quote beforehand, and that was what they charged - $55 for the part, $95 for the service. I did not call around for other quotes, but the cost seemed fair. I am pleased.

We had received a quote from another company that seemed very high. This other company wanted to replace every moving part on the door and charge us for each individual part.
We called Hall's and they sent someone out the next day. They explained their fees and what they planned to do. I could tell immediately that they were going to be less expensive so I told them to go ahead. They replaced both garage door springs, installed safety cables and replaced two hinges that were worn. The door was noticeably quieter when it opens and closes.
My only complaint is that I would have like to have received their price estimate in writing before they started work. I was still happy with the price when I did get the final bill.

The garage door "Torquemaster" torsion spring on our eight year old Wayne Dalton door finally gave out. After checking Angie's List (of course!) and Googling for recommended local area businesses we called a few for quotes and recommendations and found that the unique design of the original spring makes it harder to find and ultimately more costly to replace using OEM parts.

As suggested by Hall's and the others, the economical solution was to go with a universal spring conversion to a conventional torsion spring set up, which though not as eye appealing as the original, would yield many years of reliable service and be easier to service and repair in the long run.

Preferring to always keep our business local when possible, after some follow-up calls to verify pricing, we chose Hall's Garage Doors (through their Salem office) who were able to set up an appointment to install it the very next day. It should be noted that the Hall's quote pricing was less than half that of the other so-called "hometown" garage door outfits we solicited...for the exact same work and universal spring kit.

The Hall's installer/technician was on time, very friendly, courteous and knowledgeable and with his expertise, the installation itself was a breeze and was completed in less than an hour (even with us interrupting him to ask typical homeowner questions!). After performing some maintenance checks on both the door and opener, he efficiently cleaned up and took away the old parts. Lastly, he let us know that everything was in great working condition, that they would be sending us out an invoice for payment (still a nice touch in this day and age) and once again thanking us for our business.

It couldn't have gone any smoother and we truly appreciate their honest upfront professional business approach...it's refreshing and seldom seen anymore. We highly recommend them for any garage door related work.

Install went well. Problem came when I called them in Feb 2014 to tell them one of the handles came off in my hand. Woman who answered phone took info and told me someone would get back to me to arrange time. Did not happen. Would only use again if I have major issues with doors. I guess I will have to be persistent to get them to stand behind their work.
