I was told that my heat bill would go down about twenty-five percent. My bill went up by about seventy-five percent. Someone came out and said that the unit was bad. They said that they would replace it. I told them that I should not have to pay the extra amount on my bill. He said that there wasn't anything he could do about it. I asked for some money back. He wouldn't give me anything back. Finally, I got in touch with the vice president, and he agreed to give me some money back. They paid me half of what I told them was the difference. Air doctor was the local distributor.

"The member new unit from Westinghouse had a loose fan blade from the factory and it came off puncturing a hole in the outdoor coil thus losing all the freon in the system. His home was heated by emergency heat for two weeks before he noticed the problem on his electric bill. We replaced his outdoor unit with a brand new one versus repairing his existing outdoor unit. When I addressed his high electric bill with the factory rep he said that he would take care of it with the member. They worked out the ammount. I had nothing to do with their negotiations and I was under the notion that all parties were satisfied."

He designed a system because we have an older house. My husband was the one who dealt with them in detail. There were no problems. The insurance paid for it, but we also had to pay extra. It works wonderfully well. We plan on using them again for the basement which would probably take a couple of years.
