I had a vacation rental with these folks...my house was also for sale with them. I discovered last week that they not reporting to me accurately how often the home was being rented and about 50% of the time were keeping all of the rental income for themselves...rather than just taking thier cut. In addition, I found that they were not showing me home in order to keep it as a rental. Once I found out about the rental scam, I had a friend call their office and inquire about buying my home. They told him that the home was not really for sale...but they could show him other homes...when he insisted, they talked down about my home. He then called two other realty firms....Dockside Properties and Coastal Realty....who he said was very polite and told him the home was on the market and available. I have since pulled my rental from them as well as my home sale. I have also learned that you want one company to handle your vacation rental and one to handle your sale. NOT the same company. I am going to list my home with either Coastal or Dockside for sales and either VIP Island Rentals or Island Getaways for the vacation rental. I am also talking to an attorney about a lawsuit. BEWARE and steer clear of Chincoteague Resort Realty!!! Mike
