I wouldn't recommend using this company.  The folks who take the complaint calls are very nice and responsive and they always send someone out to correct the missed pickup etc., but the crew that collects the trash is horrible and they put forth the very minimal level of effort required.  I started using VMS last May when I moved to the area and I would say they skipped or missed me 4 of the first 6 weeks that I had a contract with them.  Since then I would say their service is lacking or insert the word 'stinks'.  The agreement is that they pick up either 3- 30 gallon containers or 2 - 45 gallons containers and up to 5 bags of yard waste at curbside.  Where I live requires back yard service (the HOA) does not want containers curb side.  The collector is too lazy to take my container to the street so they pick through the container and take what they can carry leaving the rest each week.  The curb side yard waste on numerous occassions was not picked up because it was too heavy.  I'm in my 50's and carried each bag from the back yard to the curb so I don't get it, but I started filling the bags half way so they weren't too heavy.  Get some else, VMS in my mind stinks and I am ending my contract with them and finding someone else who provides better customer service.

I considered several companies. I like that they drive up to my house, so I don't have to drag the trash receptacles to the road. The only drawback is that they have to pick the trash up every week and not every other week. No company I found has every other week pick up.
