They did a wonderful job, outstanding. They were consistently good, they took their time. They stayed with the job, they painted the entire house so it took them about 3 weeks. They were consistent, they were nice. My wife had some things change and they were gracious about doing them. There was a large crack, they came back and fixed it without charging us anything.

Scott was great very responsive and flexible to the changes we needed to make throughout the process. Reasonable cost. Was Punctual and finished the job efficiently. Felt comfortable with Scott in my home. We will definitely contact Montrose Contracting LLC. for future home projects.

First of all, I have been in business for 17 years and have never had any negative issues with any of my customers. There are three pages of reviews on Angie's list with nothing but "A" ratings in every category. My record speaks for itself. Second, every estimate I give a customer is broken down in a line-by-line explanation and any additional work is charged accordingly. Third, if I need to correct any items, they are completed before the job is finished. Issues brought to my attention 9 months later where the customer had originally signed off on the completion of the job and I have been paid in full are false and misleading.Gordon M.

I was really happy with Montrose Contracting LLC's quality of work and professionalism. They told me exactly when they would be here and the were exactly that. They were organized, they knew exactly what they were doing, and you could see the experience they have. The ceiling looks great. I had some questions so I had them come back to do a little extra stuff and they followed up. The were one of the few companies that walked in and identified the color of the paint and the type of paint it was. Montrose Contracting LLC were confident and I'm really impressed with what they did. The price was in the same ball park as their competitors and they gave me a discount because I'm an Angie's List member.

Montrose Painting is a very professional crew. They were courteous, attentive, respectful and offered advice on paint selection that was very helpful. The crew arrived on time, worked steadily, and cleaned up carefully each day. They were with us for five days and we would not hesitate to have them return or to recommend them to others. They did a great job.

We've used Scott three times now, to paint our whole house (interior) when we moved into it 3 years ago, to paint our old house when we were ready to put in on the market, and most recently to paint our nursery and put up chair rail. I think its only fair to post that he's hands down the best painter I've ever used - its simply not worth my time and effort to paint myself anymore. He's professional, on-time, does an excellent job, and his prices are reasonable for the high quality work you are going to get. Because of this, he's pretty busy so you may need to plan a little ahead to get on his schedule. Scott will guide you though the proper paint selection process (finish and type) and does a great job repairing any damage before the painting starts (nail holes, existing wallpaper, etc..). Our new nursery looks amazing (two tone w/ chair rail) and the edging is immaculate. When we sold our old house in the fan (keep in mind this was a 90-year old house), my real estate agent told me that they buyer didn't believe the house was previously occupied for several years since the paint job was so pristine (no cracks, clumped plaster, etc..) After you use Montrose painting, you will never pick up a brush again (well, maybe a touch up roller to clean up after your kids or dog!)

Scott Montrose and company did an OUTSTANDING job of painting the interior of our 4 bedroom home in Virginia. The crew shows up on time, is pleasant to work with, gives wonderful recommendationns without being overbearing or pushy. The crew is helpful in moving things and being careful. They do not hurry so if speed is your goal, you probably need to look elsewhere. Scott and his crew do quality work and take the necessary time to make the job a quality product with outstanding results. Our project required 2 extra days due to unforeseen circumstances. They didn't hurry and were not anxious to get to the next job at our expense. Great on price and used quality products. At the end of the project, they took the time to inspect each room and do minor touch-ups of imperfections or damage that we may have caused re-hanging pictures or replacing furniture. We enjoyed working with Scott and his crew. Very personable and hard working. They also powerwashed the house and restored/treated our deck and screened-in porch.

Scott came out to give me an estimate on Saturday and said he could do the job on the following Tuesday. He and his guys got right to work installing crown molding in our bedrooms and bahroom, they had the job done at the end of the day and it looked great. Would recommend Scott to anyone looking to have painting and carpentry work done !

We liked the man. He was prompt and punctual. His people showed up when they said they were going to. Customer service was outstanding. I was very satisfied with him. He was willing to go the extra mile to make sure that the job was done correctly. I would recommend everything about them.

I was delighted with them since they were wonderful. It was a complete gutting and redoing job. They started the work after Christmas. My husband had heart surgery and so the work was kind of held off. They were supposed to do one job after the other. They were great since they held off the work until they were able to have the workmen in the house. They completed the job in early summer. My husband had a surgery about a year ago in May and we were in the middle of the first construction about a year and a half ago. It did take longer and it wasn’t their fault. They waited till my husband recovered. It was a very big job. The first job was around $18000 and the second job was about $25000. The master bathroom is great since Scott Montrose went above and beyond in helping us. I loved Scott since he was very understanding and clean. They cleaned up after themselves at the end of the day. It can get very dirty and dusty when you are doing a major remodeling job. They were very good about cleaning up. He was not only sweet but he was trying to minimize the dust. The only problem we had was that he had sub contracted for installing a granite countertop in the first bathroom. I wasn’t very happy with the people we dealt with. I thought that they overcharged me and he had to take the granite out in order to redo it. It looks gorgeous now and he didn’t charge me extra for that. The frameless shower in the master bathroom is not exactly square. I am perfectly happy with it but it drove my husband crazy because he could see that it wasn’t exactly straight. However, they came back to make some adjustments but it was a sub contractor that Scott used. So he apologized for that and that was the only downside. Otherwise, everything went very smoothly and he really went out of his way to work with us. I did get several estimates and Scott wasn’t the cheapest, but I felt like I got good value for money. I was very happy with the work that he did. His responsiveness was excellent. I was so pleased with Scott that I told him if he wanted to bring customers to take a look at his work, then he was welcome to do that. I have a lovely bathroom now, which looked miserable before getting the work done. We bought the house two years ago and I knew that I couldn’t live without a bathroom. He was very helpful in working with me. If need be, then I would his services in the future too.
Description of Work
I used the services of Montrose Construction for redoing two bathrooms. They completely knocked out a small dressing room, small bathroom and a small closet. They removed the walls and made a very nice and big master bath. They totally took out everything. They installed a frameless shower in the master bathroom. They did the floors and a few extra things too. The other bathroom was pretty much a standard one with minor modifications but it was a total remodel.

Scott was great to work with. He and his staff were professional and did a terrific job, and he priced his work competitively. He did find one area that he missed on the initial inspection and provided options and costs for the additional work. I recommend him to others and will use him again.

Scott and his company added an addition to the back of my house. It was completed ahead of schedule and his two workers, Trip and Devin were very professional, and polite. The completion of the project was beyond expectations. I would highly recommend them for anyone who is considering and addition or remodeling project in their home.

We were extremely satisfied with all aspects of this project. Scott was great to work with, as he was very accessible, reliable and helpful. His work was terrific- each night we came home to a tidy work in progress, and this project was finished right on schedule. He was very helpful in assisting us on selecting the new glass shower sliding door, stone surround, toilet and sink. He even helped us pick the perfect paint color for our new room. He suggested installing two shower heads- the cost for this was minimal and the result was more than worthwhile- now our bathroom is like a luxury hotel bathroom or a spa!
Description of Work
Our downstairs bath was completely renovated. This project involved knocking down several sections of the wall to expand the size of the bathroom. Old wall paper was removed. The shower, toilet and sink were removed and relocated to new positions. The sub floor was replaced due to previous water damage. Scott was extremely helpful in figuring out the best option for the new layout and design. A beautiful new shower was installed with solid stone surfaces, and two shower heads. A new sink and toilet were installed, and then bead board was added to the walls and new tile to the floor to complete this outstanding renovation. Doorways were removed and relocated for the new space.

Scott and his staff were a pleasure to work with. His prompt responsiveness, remaining true to his word, high recommendations from others, his professionalism, and timeliness of completion are all reasons I chose Montrose Painting. The first 2-3 days were strictly devoted to removing the wallpaper throughout and rebuilding the bath walls. Before the end of the week, the first floor was completely painted. The second week was devoted to the upstairs rooms, which had not been painted in 12 years. Illness and family illness added a small delay on completion but only extended into the following week. Scott was flexible enough to add the 1/2 bath, replace a vanity top, install a shower rod, and do some additional woodwork painting that had not originally been agreed upon. We have contracted him to remodel our master bathroom. I hope to contract him for additional work in the future.
Description of Work
The services included painting the ceilings, woodwork and walls in 2 stories of our 3 story home. The majority of work revolved around removing wallpaper in 6 rooms. The 2 bathrooms had 2 layers of wallpaper that had been there for at least 12, perhaps up to 21, years. The walls and ceilings in the bathrooms had to be rebuilt due to wall deterioration from no exhaust fans. Two other rooms had wallpaper that was very stubborn to remove. This price also included installing a vanity top and painting a 1/2 bath, including a vanity cabinet, not included in the original estimate. The work was completed in a short period of time with minimal interruption.
