A&W Powerwashing

The service was really nice.  He did a good job and did me and my cousin who lives next door to me.  He just came out and  did both of us the same day and both of us were very satisfied.  I think he came out and did an estimate.  Then he had two other guys come out and all of them were really nice.  He answered all my questions.  My husband takes care of all that stuff and so I don’t know what his charges were.  It really wasn’t that much, but my house has not been power washed for a couple of years now.  So he worked on it till he got it to my satisfaction.  He was here half an hour early.  I would recommend him and am going to have my house power washed more frequently.

A & W Power Wash was recommended to me by a real estate agent. I called/emailed and was pleased with the quick response.  I received an estimate which was not low but not high either. I felt it was reasonable and proceeded with the work.  They came out and power washed the porch and deck and that is when I began to get a feeling that this might not turn out so well.  I have had my porch and deck cleaned and sealed before. Previously after power washing, the porch and deck looked significantly better immediately.  All  mold, dirt and rings from pots were gone.  After A & W Power Wash cleaned the deck, they were still there. I Where the grill and mat was still had the old sealant and was quite notieable.  It looked like it had barely been cleaned.  I figured though they knew what they were doing and that after sealing the deck it would look better. Well, it looked worse.  I called and again they were responsive and after a week and a half (they were on vacation) they came out to look.  They told me that was just the way it should look.  They offered to come back out and try and fix it. I said okay. I guess they came but it didn't make much of a difference. Exasperated, I paid them but told them I was not happy. 
I then put ,after at least 2 weeks, my deck furniture and pots.  I noticed the next day that there was what looked like mud spots all over the deck. It rained and I sprayed them with the hose thinking it would come right off. It did not. Then, I moved some furniture and more marks. I emailed A & W asking them for help in getting it clean. I have not heard back from them and it has been over a week. The comment a friend made was "This isn't bad, it is worse than bad!".

I emailed to get an estimate.  The estimate was emailed back to me in 3 business days.  I scheduled the work a week later.  Work was done on schedule and in less than a half day.  House and deck looked great and as expected.

A&W Powerwashing was recommended to me by an Angie's List company that painted my deck a couple years ago. A&W came out to assess the work, prepared a quote for me and answered several questions I had about their service. I decided to move forward with them as they were so responsive to me and also agreed to do the work on a Saturday. Anthony the owner showed up promply to start the powerwashing on the agreed upon date. An important thing I learned is that you need to have your driveway cleared of cars for powerwashing, if the cars are anywhere near areas to be powerwashed. Anthony took about 3 hours to powerwash the house, deck, and pergola. My husband and I thought the work looked very good. The house definitely looked much cleaner, except that a few of the gutters still had some black marks on them. Anthony explained that when it rains, the black from the roof shingles runs onto the gutters. He would need to do a special type of wash to get the gutters clean for an extra $90. My husband and I agreed to do this and Anthony said he would call to schedule this in the coming days. Either later that day or on Monday, Anthony (or his wife) called to propose a date/time for the gutter wash. It was about a week later and that worked fine for us. After the gutter washing was done, we could definitely see the difference. The black marks had disappeared from the gutters. I think that A&W does a very good job of powerwashing. The only improvement I can suggest concerns the white paint chips on our deck steps by the kitchen door which appeared after the deck dried. Apparently, the chips were from powerwashing the house and/or pergola. When I responded to A&W's call about scheduling the gutter wash, I also asked them to remove these paint chips. They did remove most of them..
